Apalachicola oysters were the best. I lived in Jacksonville. We'd get two or three bushels and throw ice on them in the trunk of the LTD.

Ahhhhh, such memories.. We’d get them off the Jetties of Cocoa Beach or Sebastian Inlet...same thing, iced down until home...

There is a brand that gets oysters from the Atlantic rather than the Pacific they are located in Poland the name is Prince something but I can't remember exactly what it is, but they are not Chinese.

I lived there for a few years and then back to care for my Mom until she passed and then back to Chicago where I actually lived...I went back often to visit with friends...Fishing, Lobster catches, oysters etc. always fun to go after...

Pacific oysters are from the calm peaceful waters of the west. Those turbulent eastern oysters can make your stomach erupt.
