Original Ekone Smoked Oysters - Taylor Shellfish Farms in Washington State are about the only ones I have found canned and sold in the grocery stores or on line.

I smoke my own when I'm in the mood and they are local to the North Carolina waters.

Thanks...I lived in Jacksonville for 12 years. We went to Cedar Key and bought bushels of oysters...

What American company makes smoked, canned oysters?

The Ekone Oyster Company is a company from the USA and is the largest company that makes smoked oysters. Their canned oysters do not contain any chemicals or preservatives but are rather grown, smoked and canned in a healthy and sustainable way.

Here you go: Smoked Oysters - All Natural Farmed in USA - Willapa Bay Washington by Ekone Oysters

Kind of expensive....but VERY good. (I used to eat these when I lived in WA...maybe I'll buy some online now!!)

https://willapawild.com/products/smoked-oysters-all-natural-farmed-in-usa-willapa-bay-washington-by-ekone-oysters?_pos=1&_sid=37c24af61&_ss=r

Here's a snip from their description: "Unlike the smoked oysters you find in your local grocery store, these oysters are not grown in China, but rather the USA. Ekone, is one of the largest independent oyster farmers and is based on the Willapa Bay in Southwest Washington, near the mouth of the Columbia River. The Willapa is the cleanest bay in the United States...These oysters are grown, harvested, smoked and canned by Ekone in their Bay Center facility. There are no machines everything is done by hand, from the harvesting to the shuking to the smoking.

I worked for the Salvation Army for a few years. You can't believe who makes quality clothes in this world and who doesn't.

Lesotho?

Isn't that a little land-locked country in southern Africa? That's a tag I haven't seen.

Pacific Oysters are grown on our farms in Willapa Bay located on the coast of Washington State. They are grown using the long-line method to promote the highest quality oyster, and ensure they are always free of sand and grit. They are harvested fresh then brought to our Ekone cannery in Bay Center, WA, where the oysters are steamed and opened, then brined in small batches. The brined oysters are then placed meticulously on stainless steel racks and smoked using maple chips. A true classic that is fresh, all natural and allows the flavor of the oysters to shine!

Each 3 ounce can is made with fresh ingredients and no preservatives. They are also shelf stable for up to four years!

Pike Place Fish Market was founded in 1930 and has since become an enduring Seattle institution. It remained little-known outside of the Seattle area until 1986, however, when longtime owner John Yokoyama and his crew committed to only sourcing the very best-quality seafood, providing excellent customer service, and putting on a show for their customers. The new commitment to excellence accelerated the company’s growth and catapulted the market onto the world stage.
