If the Old Testament cannot be taken as the Eternals unchangeable word, and it has been least studied in the last 2,000 yrs. Where did the title of "old Testament" come from?

What do you call it? Do you not believe it? By “the Eternals” do you mean God? Just curious

You've never heard the Creator called the Eternal.? If you took the time and read Isaiah from start to end and believe it's God's everlasting word, you would know why I say what I do.

Edit...you don't need a middle man re-explaining what is clearly expressed from Gods prophet;Isaiah.

Not the way you used it by pluralizing it. Just a question, no need to be boorish.

I didn’t ask about that nor did I say I had trouble understanding it .

I did ask if you had a different ne for what you called the “so called old Testament”

Who named it the "Old Testament?" I read that a person named Melito of Sardis did.

That's about the time that the Hebrew Bible was changed to fit Christian narrative.

No offense it's history.

Good question...I have no idea who named it. I'll have to look that up.

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2 Corinthians 3:14 KJV

This is about as basic as you can get in "studying" the Bible.

God's covenant with Israel became the "Old Covenant," i.e., "Old Testament," on the day God announced a new one through Jeremiah.

Jeremiah, Hebrew Yirmeyahu, Latin Vulgate Jeremias,
(born after 650 BC, Anathoth, Judah - died c. 570 BC, Egypt), Hebrew prophet, reformer, and author of Jeremiah, Kings and Lamentations.

32 "It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt— a covenant they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.
33“ "But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people:

Let us lay the basics aside and go a bit deeper.

For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Hebrews 8:8-11 KJV

So we see the covenant presented in Jeremiah 31 is yet future. We know this because they will not teach their neighbor or brother and on the teaching from Zec 13 we see if they do their father and mother will slay them.
And we also know it is future because it is made with the house of Israel, not the Church in this Age of Grace that is unless one follows the heretical teaching of Replacement Theology.

Presently we are under the New Testament. Biblically a testament compares to a covenant like a last will compares to a contract today.

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Hebrews 9:15-17 KJV
