Even our side roads, most of which are one lane, two way traffic, don't get plowed often. Around here, people store a lot of nonperishable items and share with the neighbors. What is funny is that a lot of people have goats, mainly dairy goats, and the delivery truck delivers to one person and everyone waits in his driveway when the feed truck comes. Since we all know each other we have the feed delivery also bring about 15 bags of Purina dog food for those of us who have dogs. Better than driving 60 miles round trip for each of us who have dogs.

Life is always interesting and challenging. When it is winter, we always prepare make sure that all supplies needed are available. What happens to the goats, sheep horses, and cows, when there are 3 feet or more snow covering the grounds? They need to eat. So supplies must always be available. Dogs and cat foods must all be ready.

Your neighbors are good. Mine are good too. They are not used to plowing. Our city don't plow residential areas. Just the roads and highways. So my driveways still in deep snow. Can't go out. I have enough supplies, and my cat. Happy winter!!

Same to you, and also happy winter!. I am used to have below zero during the 70's, but now that I've grown older, not so fun for that anymore.
Please take care.

Lol, is that 27 ft of snow? Now, that will cover up most one story homes. Better get all supplies needed. Be safe.

AOC is still complaining of g****l w*****g.

No, that was 27 degrees Below Zero, Fahrenheit. AKA 32 degrees Below Zero Celsius,

and that is without the "wind chill factor". The snow doesn't crunch underfoot, it squeaks!

Oh, my bad. Did not think about that. The 27 degree below, is one of a kind. I only got 10 below during the early 70's. Still young not bothered with it.

27 degrees below, you must be in Alaska. Don't drive, with that temperature, could be freezing with ice. March will be Spring, and for me as Catholics a celebration of Christ Resurrection on April 4th.

Some people don't believe this but I do, and I hope they respect my rights, as I do theirs.

You don't need to be in Alaska for those temperatures. We hit -20 here in Nebraska last week and are heading that way again this week. Permafrost would probably be celebrating the heat wave of -27 in Minnesota.

Not bad compared to one morning many years back, when it hit 38 below zero, and I had to feed 1,000 cattle.

By the end of that day, it took an hour in a 90 degree kitchen, before my temp. registered on a thermometer!

I spent a winter in Chicago. It would get so cold that exposed skin would freeze in 30 seconds.

It is white all over. with huge sprinkles of w****s pouring. Peace and serenity has engulfed me this morning which is so comforting. The snow is so beautiful. I looked out of the window, saw foot prints of a man on the driveway. Got scared, followed scene of the foot prints till my front door. There iit is, a very beautiful bunch of red roses wrapped in a huge plastic bag. No name, where it came from. I was scared to touch it. The flowers are still there outside the door. Now trying to debate myself whether I touch the flowers or not.

Fortunately, I live among republicans . We protect each other. The roses are not deadly. I already know where it came from.

The lawn maintenance will clean the driveway tomorrow. Two feet of snow all piling up on top of roofs. Hope it does not add up.

My suggestion is to take a large paper bag, put on some gloves you would use when washing dishes and take the flowers and put them in the paper bag, making sure they are just flowers and that they are not ticking. Put the bag of flowers some place in the house, like in a bathroom (assuming you have two bathrooms so you can still use a bathroom, with no risk to yourself) Maybe you will figure out who left the flowers and assure yourself they are safe. Otherwise you might want to take them to the local police and explain why you are concerned, they might be able to deTermine that they are safe OR NOT.

You live in a strange world, she needs to get the flowers in before they freeze

Thank you. Yes, for C***d19 security, and other matters, the right thing to do.

I already know who placed the flowers at my door. That gentleman from Ohio called. I meet at the Church. I think I feel safe now. Late noon, the snow is still pouring.

Snow falls it doesn't pour, glad you feel safe now.

I know, we actually seldom have this much snow. It is only 30 degree F. In the 70's, it always went down below zero during winter. I guess we have a little g****l w*****g.

You're lucky, that's about 40 degrees warmer than we are today. It's been misleading, nice and sunny and the temperature keeps going down. Need to find that leak in the thermometer.
