Don't be ridiculous. There will never be a trial, and what the Senate does or doesn't do is immaterial. Trump just needs two impeachments after his name in case he comes sniffing around running for president in 2024--providing he's not already in jail.

McConnell has no intention of moving the senate trial phase of an impeachment through before Biden takes office. Pelosi understands that the senate trial phase will be done with a Democrat controlled senate...
