Look this is a ridiculous argument. First off, Amen (Hebrew: אָמֵן, 'ʾāmēn'; Greek: ἀμήν, 'amín'; Arabic: آمین, 'āmīn; Aramaic/Syriac: ܐܵܡܝܼܢ, 'ʾāmīn') is an Abrahamic declaration of affirmation first found in the Hebrew Bible, and subsequently in the New Testament. It is used in Jewish, Christian and Islamic worship, as a concluding word, or as a response to a prayer. Common English t***slations of the word amen include "verily", "truly", and "so be it". It is also used colloquially, to express strong agreement.
Now this is the origin of the word. Now people that make fun of the sexist ideologies of both sides will use the pun, "Awomen" or "Awoman". This is a trolling effect to provoke a response of either side. Why can't we laugh at the pun, rather than take it as anything else than a pun on words?
If one has a problem with words being used, in any manner, when the words are used as a pun, then we have a very serious psychological problem with this society. Seriously, the best form of medicine is usually humor, and if we can't do puns on the simple, then what do we do when it gets more complex? Both sides, the liberals and the conservatives need to stop and pick their battles more wisely.
There are certain words of the english language that are deemed to be crude, vile, or even down right mean. And these words ought not to be used in settings of formality. However, when one is using humor to lighten up an already heated and volatile situation then all is fair.
For the same that is being said about Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, can be said about:
Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George Bush(Sr. and Jr.), Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.
And that's just the presidents, I could also name many senators and representatives that made a pun on words to lighten the mood of the crowd at the time. See we use puns to lighten the atmosphere, otherwise would you rather have two men, two women, two people, get out in the street and have a duel? Or would you rather laugh off the pun, and lighten up. In a 100 years or so, we all will be dead and none of this will matter any way.
Roger Rabbit says to Eddie, "Where's Your Sense of Humor?", well I say to all of America, especially the younger generation: "Where's your sense of humor?"
Look this is a ridiculous argument. First off, Ame... (
