It was not Reschenthaler who said it. It was Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) who gave the opening prayer, and who ended it with "amen", a confirmatory word, meaning "so be it" of Hebrew origin...and "awomen" which is not a word and has no meaning whatsoever.
