A short time ago, Iran's Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamene urged the Muslim World to boycott anything and everything that originates with the Jewish people.


In response, Meyer M. Treinkman, a pharmacist, out of the kindness of his heart, offered to assist them in their boycott as follows:

Muslims with convulsions must put up with them because it was a Jew, Oscar Leibreich, who proposed the use of Chloral Hydrate.

Arabs must do likewise with their psychic ailments because Freud, father of psychoanalysis, was a Jew.

You have to go back into history when the Roman Empire scattered the jews after the 70AD Jewish war. Many Jews fled to Alexandria in Egypt and when the Islamist came swooping down thru Turkey, the middle east into Egypt, North Africa and then Spain they took the Jews with them as administrators for the warrior caliphs. Christiandom stopped the muslims in a big battle in France and then slowly descended into Spain. After 700 years occupation by the muslims the arab muslims were pushed back into north Africa and the inquisition scattered the jews into South America, Sicily, Italy and northern Europe. The Arabs and jews JOINTLY developed the sciences, universities, hand carry books. Italic writing commenced in Italy and the first Medical University was established in Palermo Sicily by the Arabs (and presumably jews) later the University of Naples. So where Arabs and Jews flourished the roots of the European rennaiscance took root. Jews and Muslims were closely allied until the rise of the Z*****t movements in France....Jews and Arabs are Semetic peoples.

UPDATE?? If you knew History you would know I succinc ntly brought history up to 1490's concentrating on Islam and Judiasm. After the collapse of the Byzantine empire Europe was cut off from trade routes to the orient initiating Christopher Columbus Journeys to the new world 12 years after the collapse of the Eastern Roman Empire.

There is an element of t***h in what you say. After The Church regained it footing in Spain the inquisition only commenced in Spain but not the colonies of Sicily, Italy, South America and the Caribbean islands to which Jews fled and later on did the inquisition pursue the Spaniards in the colonies causing Jews to head north to Venice and eastern Europe from Sicily and Italy save for those jews who "converted'. Thus the separation between Judaism and Islam parted ways save for remnants in the mid east.

Religion has divided the world through the centuries. Can you imagine petertimber if we all forgot about the myths created by man for helping man to accept the will of those at the top? Religion as we know it is just a controlling power that governments of all types have used to keep us hopeful in order we do not demand to be allowed to have a happy life in this dimension.

To have religion is just to have a cane. Religion does not make the majority of us more spiritual. Maybe if more of us tried to grow spiritually strong we would find the peace we all search for.

How a god who requires to k**l children, destroy families, break down countries can be a good god? How am I better if to teach about my god I use force, torture, rape, destroying natural resources, poisoning people with lethal gas, destroying their homes, infesting their land with plagues and poisons? How can all that make me a better believer?

You know petertimber, God is the spiritual symbol of perfection. He is love. He is healthy life, He is good thoughts. He is beauty.

But man chooses the money, the power, the control over others and that is what the god of religions is.

If we took the time to study we would find out that every war in our Civilization started with the gods of religions and its teachings.

We, men, create our own hell on Earth because it seems that we h**e life and beauty. We love to k**l each other, and other species, we h**e the beauty of the hill because we crave the coal it keeps inside and we decapitate it, we pollute the waters of our rivers and our seas and our oceans, and to show how much we love(?) nature we cage huge fish that enjoys swimming miles in the oceans and put them in small aquariums for our children to watch. We love to show our power over everything.

We need to spiritually grow. We need to learn that the Good God is in every body and everything and that we hurt God even when we cut trees of our forests destroying our earth lungs, all because of the money/profit god.

And when we k**l another human being because of his current nationality we must remember that we - men- are all the same, a mix of every race and color since at one time or another in the thousands of years the races crossed and we resulted of that crossing and he might be our long lost relative.

If we learnt History and Anthropology we would learn all those things and maybe we would think twice before k*****g and destroying. And if we learnt we would be better.

pestertimber, you are right. The advance in science and technology belongs to all of us. And the obligation to protect science and technology from the wrong use is our primary obligation.

I only will repeat what I mentioned in one of my commentaries some time ago. During the 500 years of Muslin dominance in Spain, when Jews, Christians and Muslin lived in harmony in that society, the first world School of Medicine was created in Spain. That brought about also the first Hospital with asepsis in the world. The advances in medical care were outstanding. Asepsis was the door that allowed that progress.

Keep in mind that I am talking only about our current civilization. I believe that there were many civilizations prior to ours and probably they were much more advanced that ours. Disasters brought about by man and nature destroyed them and we only have small glimpses of their grandeur.

We need to educate ourselves in order we do not make the error of stating facts that create distrust among us. We are all intelligent human beings if we properly feed our minds.

Christians defeated the Arabs in France and later Spain after 700 years sending them back to North Africa while the Jews who lived in harmony with the Arabs fled to England and the low countries, South America and the Spanish colonies of Sicily and Italy which was under Spanish Rule from 1559-1713 since the inquisition did not extend to the Spanish colonies until much later these areas were places of refuge for the Jews. When the inquisition extended to the Spanish colonies then the Jews once again fled North to Venice and NE Europe and the Balkans down to Greece.
