Which they have the right to do... As American citizens... That's not interference...
It certainly is interference when you have persuasion, control and influence over a large group of people by deceit, twisting and manipulating information to your own special interest... a favorite technique enjoyed by F*****t the world over, it's called, Propaganda!
You take a pinch of T***h with a little deceit here and a little there and you mix it up until it appears psychologically appeasing to the masses. Initially, you only spoon feed drops of the mixture for the first few years. Then you administer larger and larger doses until the masses are complicit in the brainwashing. Irony is they won't realize what hit them until it's way too late... they're so drunk in their delusion, they can't get up. It's really nasty if you wake up from your stupor and realize the mess you're sitting in!
As U.S. citizens, our Constitution guarantees free speech with the hope of diverse perspectives, not just the 'fat cat's.'
Big tech has been allowed to grow into a fierce tiger and if anyone disagrees, she slaps em to the side or devours them. She can proudly strut around the jungle and who dares to raise their voice?
Someone with a diverse opinion; a congress member or even the President of the U.S. is shunned to the side. No, it should be an open forum. Big tech has been under government protection, but that needs ending. Citizens need the protection and big tech needs to be held responsible.
Canada has their own quagmires that's deeper and wider than ours... please, don't help.
Thx, but no thx.

Let me guess. You and your right down the middle self don't see any difference in the way these platforms treat Conservatives and Progressives?

Love it when right wingers call for greater government involvement in sectors that annoy them... Because big government is always the answer...
Canada is nowhere as divided as the US... Despite having a vastly more diverse population... But certainly there are areas we could improve

It is an Oxymoron. However, I am extremely Conservative but I believe these social media platforms need to play by the same laws as everyone else. We have specific laws about monopolies. This is where I believe they are vulnerable. Sometimes you have to use your antagonists (progressives) tactics in a fight. Fighting, using the Marcus of Queensbury rules doesn't work if your opponent will pick up a crowbar.

Alternatively, citizens could exercise their free will and stop using the platforms that they despair of...
There are other platforms out there...
These businesses are given too much power, but only because people willingly give it to them...

How 'bout this Big Tech question? Why hasn't some Conservative leaning millionaire or group formed a tech company to compete?

They are, and have been for a long time. They aren't even trying to hide it. One employee lamented they didn't do near enough in 2016 and Donald Trump was elected. Now they plan to ramp up their efforts. The 2018 mid-terms helped the Democrat/Socialist Party, and now they are OPENLY suppressing ANY negative information about Biden. ALL these billion dollar Tech companies need to lose their 230 protection that Congress gave them, and that they pay swamp members, (mostly Democrat/Socialists, but too many RINOs,) to extend. Russia, as well as China and other countries have been trying to meddle in our e******n for decades, (long before Donald Trump came on the scene, but the most dangerous interference in our e******ns come from these Tech companies who think they can suppress information, or outright lie about candidates they don't like. Big Tech is trying to rig the 2020 e******n, and they don't care who knows it. (Most likely they own so many politicians they aren't worried about losing their ability to c***t for the Democrat/Socialist Party.) These Tech companies are a direct threat to the integrity of our e******ns, and are enemies of the American people.

And in this case government would not be interfering, they would simply remove the 230 protections these companies abuse. So the "Republicans don't like Big Government unless it benefits them" is a false premise in this case. Republicans would be removing government's previous interference, (and protections,) of these companies. Always love it when the false narrative of wanting SOME laws, that benefit ALL, (suppressing information to benefit one side IS un-American,) is trotted out to excuse blatant c***ting by one side.
