But before I do, and I hope this doesn’t burst your bubble, not only does your imaginary man upstairs have nothing to do with this, there is no Santa Clause or Easter Bunny. Sorry to break the news.

Now, to bring this down to your elementary level, I’ll try a different path. If you shine a light through glass is there a shadow? No. Why? Glass is t***sparent. Is a flame t***sparent? Or at least t***slucent?

Maybe you can figure it out from here

I want to respond to your second sentence. I remember what a Salvation Army Woman told us once at Summer Vacation Bible School over seventy years ago. A man asked her why she believed in a God that wasn’t there and a heaven that did not exist because after anyone died everything just became a black nothing. That was why he lived the way he did. She answer that if he was correct there would be just a nothing but if she was correct wouldn’t he rather have what she had believed and lived. It costs nothing to live a life dedicated to doing good just as it costs nothing to live a life without trying to be the best and only living for the moment so why not earn the better reward.

If something cannot stop the light waves, it will not have a shadow (as the piece of glass). OR how about this explanation, folks: The flame absorbed the light as did the match stick and its light is shining on the wall. -- Hold something between the flame and the wall and see what other shadow is appears. That should prove or disprove something.

The original statement is still true, even though some are trying to discredit it!

I agree the verse it true.
But I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what kind of statement "Light has no shadow" is, because light [plus a solid something] causes a shadow. Light bulbs have no shadow either, once turned on, because they are a source of light.

I feel sorry for you. No Faith. No Hope. So very lonely and afraid when the end comes.

Wrong. Faith in reality and humanity. Happily amongst friends and family. No fear of when the end comes, I just understand that’s part of the natural life cycle for all beings. I don’t need a fairy tale of going to heaven, wh**ever and where ever that fantasyland is. Weak individuals need religion as a crutch to escape reality.

Ok then, why do you think the flame casts no visible shadow?

You may claim that but in your heart you know God exists. You choose to reject him and that doesn't make you strong.

I have said in detail in earlier comments. Basically it is a light source.

There is a light-source opposite the wall, the match-stick and hand block that light, casting a shadow. The flame is sending light to the wall, countering the light that is blocked by the stick and the hand. Just a guess...

Turn off the light source that is casting the shadow and you will see the matchstick disappear as the light from the match will k**l the shadow. The flame is not invisible to the naked eye so therefore it absorbs light so that you can photograph the flame and at the same time the flame is throwing off light that makes the flame disappear. The light from the flame is not as strong as the light causing the shadow so the as long as the flame burns you will see a lighter shadow of the matchstick than when the flame goes out.

Dog-Gone Parky... see what you've started?
I was going to go with the Spiritual side of the post, but nooo... now Myself and Valky are causing one of those "chicken and egg" questions in my head for a day or two. Maybe googly...

I won't ponder that one.
It will drive me nuts like ,
If there was nothing here, how did God create everything.
I finally decided it was God and a huge void.
Then the where did God come from?
It could be endless.
