Unfortunately, there are far too many of them. Eighty percent of America's Jews have been in the Democratic camp for decades. NYU, my Alma Mater, was notorious for being a hot bed of radicalism, led all too often by the Jewish students.
Even the Jewish students called it NY Jew. Eighty percent (there's that number again) of the student body was Jewish.
And so many of them played the Holocaust Card that could trump all arguments. It was very disillusioning. I always thought that a Jew who was liberal was akin to being in the Gestapo.

Speaking as a Jew, I left the Democrats during the Carter Administration and my closest surviving relatives joined me within a year after Obama took office.
Most of the Jews I know who v**e Democrat these days are Reform and Conservative Jews. In New York I knew several Orthodox and Hasidic Jews who are political conservatives.
They belong to communities that don't do a lot of mixing with the less religious but don't sit home on E******n Day, either.
My own observation is that these younger, American born Reform types haven't had much exposure to older relatives who endured the horrors of the Third Reich, the pogroms in eastern Europe that came before or any of the other prime examples of what happens when a people are docile in the face of oppressive government.

maureen, I didn't have to read your post long before I came across some outrageous misstatements.
The USSR was a Marxist c*******t empire led by a totalitarian and murderous dictator. It has nothing in common with the democratic socialists, much less the Democratic Party.
The n**i party was in no way socialist. It named itself the German workers socialist party to attract the German workers. Actually they sought the backing of the German capitalists to gain power. I was a representative of my teachers union, and I can assure you that they certainly don't control the NEA. My NEA chapter actually supported gun ownership. They were not allowed to use the word, " strike " in the representative assembly.

So the N**i party of the 30s used the same playbook that todays democratic socialists use.
Tell working people that you are with them, until you are in power, then destroy them.
Use capitalism, the rich, to back you. Then you are owned by the party, do what you are told to do and say or you too are gone.
Use "your" thugs, the brown shirts,B*M and A****a to intimidate people in the streets.
You are correct...I don't see any similarities between social democrats and Marxists.

For a disciple of Trump, you and yours are pretty free and easy with the word whore, something your exalted leader is very familiar with.

And besides, if Democrats wanted Socialism, then why isn't Bernie Sanders the Democratic candidate, hmm? And if Donald Trump eliminates the payroll tax, then what happens to Social Security?
Payroll tax and FICA taxes are separate. I'm not sure which one the President wants to cut?

So you now have the opportunity to v**e for National Socialism. Congratulations! Personally, I believe in the importance of the individual and a form of government that was created FOR the people, and not a government where the people work for the government.

That's just it Seth. I went to NYU from 62-67. Most Jewish students there were liberal. There were some conservatives, a la Milton Friedman types but not many. It always perplexed me because there had been the horrors of German National Socialism and Soviet Socialism was the most anti-Semitic ideology of the time.

Propaganda salty and Truman was pretty good with it. Socialism to me is bread lines and working at not what you are qualified for but what the state tells you to work at. Do I seem to be mixing socialism and c*******m? Tha'ts because socialism IS c*******m for slow learners.
