I like it! Plus that is my favorite carol, I am glad it was put to good use.

Supreme Court Rejects Texas Lawsuit Challenging Biden's Victory

9 to Zip (well, 7 to 2 if you count that Alito's and Thomas's preference was to hear the case, but had already announced that they would have voted it down).

All people show their true colors eventually. Only visiting occasionally makes it interesting to watch the slide... most of us are not as good at staying above the fray as you are. You demonstrate a strength, a foundation of goodness that is enviable.

He introduced himself by insulting me repeatedly... Having never engaged him, I doubt I warranted such a response... Perhaps he is more intelligent than he presents himself as being, but his behavior certainly doesn't depict it...

Let's pretend I am from Missouri, show me where I insulted you. I find that difficult to understand since I thought that you were quite engaging when I first ran across your posts.

Since I don't have much to do right now. Here is the first thing I said to you. After you presented me with an eyeroll.

He has an excellent relationship with his wife...

You know what Pence and his wife have for a relationship? Really?
You sound like one of those folks who would never suspect the mass murderer.
I am not sure why that would be insulting.

That was Nov. of 2019. This one is about a month later.

Ho Ho Ho merry Xmas from the White House

His father lived into his mid90s but he was not nearly as rotund as his offspring is.
DJT is 73, that is not all that old. I suspect that the resident in the WH won't make it to 80.

Then I stopped in in July of 2020, didn't address you at all.

Next time I did post toward you was in response to a comment you made here on Leaning left.
If you find this comment insulting, I just don't know what to tell you.

To my conservative friends

Plenty of people come to Leaning Left to peek at what is said.
Most are not thoughtful enough to give cogent responses. You have been around long enough so you already know that.
This section was specifically created to give thoughtful people a break from those who are not.

Canuckus Deploracus wrote:
Not too many folk signed into this section... You ought to post it on main....

Some excellent (thought provoking) ideas there...

Stay strong

******************************************************************

I will take one more peek at November, I have to tell you this got tedious a good 15 minutes ago.

The next post was right here, I disagreed with you about the natural order of things and explained thoroughly why I disagreed.
And then this.

(Main)
Some questions for biden supporters.

Could you delineate the subjects that you are informed in and those you are not?

Trump is wrong concerning covid... But right concerning the trade war...

And China is America's number one opponent these days... No question about it...

You had said in another thread that you were not informed enough to comment. Here, you seemed to be in the know about Trump's hold on knowledge about China and the trade war.
Sorry if you were insulted by someone wanting to know what subjects you consider yourself to be knowledgeable in/of/about.

I will let anyone willing to read this missive judge for his or herself concerning intent. Sometimes I think it would be a plus if OPP had the blocking feature that Facebook does. This is one of those times.

I also suspect that he's not all that stable... He appears to be far more involved with my posting than I could ever have imagined....

I was of course referring only to this thread... I don't recall interacting with him before....

I suspect that you can't admit that there were no insults.
There were 3 or 4 times in the year and a half or two years since you joined OPP that I responded to a remark from you.
As I said, people who see what the exchanges have been will judge for themselves.
You made the claim that I insulted you. You did.

The Attorney General of Texas wants the SCOTUS to throw out the election results from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan and indefinitely delay the Electoral College vote due next week.

In addition, 17 states have signed on to the Texas and trump effort agreeing that Texas should decide the elections of swing states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia.

ALL are Republican-controlled states: do they all have Attorneys General that need a federal pardon?
As of 12/9/20 br br The Attorney General of Texas... (show quote)

Why should Texas of all states get that authority, they are about as bias as a state can be, save Florida.

When I think of all this I can't help but think of Al Gore and it puts salt in an old wound and I can't help but think WTF... how is it the right gets to play these wild cards every time and get away with it. Amendments are crucially needed.

Well, the SCOTUS didn't bite on it - - TX had no standing to bring a case...

Watch what Congressional Re-THUGS are trying to do about certifying results - - it won't change Biden's inauguration, but it adds to Right Wing aggravation, as well as stimulating their discontent and volatility.

We know Gore & Hillary should've been president, were it not for the Electoral College. And now they think Biden should NOT have won BECAUSE of the Electoral College.

Have-Their-Cake-And-Eat-It-Too-ITIS.

Legal or illegal - - right or wrong - - they just want their way. Narcissistic children living in Fantasyland.

When a party struggles and endeavors so complicitly hard to be in total control, we have some real concerns that have to be addressed, it is a hair shy of an overthrow. It was a failed one, make no mistake. They have steadfastly put conservative leaning judges in place and they will continue to quietly put loyalists in place, then where will our democracy be?

I agree with you completely on the judges situation - - I took issue with people in 2016, who didn't like Hillary, but couldn't hold their noses and vote for her - - even before the election, I knew those people existed, and tried to post generally about the need for a Dem prez, no matter what, because of the lifetime federal judge appointments presidents do, and especially the SCOTUS. But some people wanted to "make a statement" and were too short sighted. Now we have three tRump appointments to the Supreme Court - - ARRGGGHHHH !!!

I believe we are in the throws of an overthrow with the actions of republican representatives for party and Trump. This is serious sh*+. Are federal crimes being broken, Georgia has had three counts already, this only buys them time to fabricate more BS. Why did the SCOTUS tell Gore he was out of time, yet here we are indulging this POS president. Do they really think the majority of the people who DID vote for Biden, will allow Trump to continue his presidency? Is Trump behind Putin for the overthrow of this country and put us in the throws of a civil war. I say forget the war, I'd be happy to spit the country and move to where that party and their followers do not reside.
