All yhis time I was under the impression if you were born here you were an AMERICAN, regardless of your bloodline.
Why is it AMERICAN comes after all of the ethnic names?

I don't know. But if we said White-Americans, or Caucasian-Americans, or European-Americans, I feel sure that it would be regarded as absolute proof that we were putting our color above being American, and therefore be condemned as 'r****t'.
By the way, super applause to Trader Joe's! More companies need to follow their example and stand up to all the ridiculous 'cancel culture' attacks. None of their stores are around here, but I'm going to see if I can order something on line, just to support them.

Only ones that I have ever heard called American first were the Indians.
