I'm thinking you should not be surprised at the responses you got. In total t***sparency, I v**ed for our President twice, and while I v**ed for him TWICE, sometimes, not always, but sometimes, I get very angry with the President. However, I do not walk in his shoes. I have only worked "for" political appointees in another life, and so I know how the game is played.

I hope that you stick around, that you do not turn on your heels and click "delete", because I, for one, truly wish to hear what you have to say. Some of my views have changed since I joined OPP and I say that all the time. Well, okay, a couple of my views have changed -- but while some may disagree with my next statement --I do keep my listening ears on. At the same time, those referenced links in posts that are really slanted, regardless of whether they are right OR left, I pay them no mind, because coming from either side of the fence....wishful thinking attempting to make an idea on their wish list a TRUE FACT.

Just try and remember that regardless of expression, ALL on this site care passionately about this country. My first day on OPP was a bit like yours and nearly took my breath away, but I chose to stay. I hope you will too. :wink:

I joined this site yesterday and made a positive post about President Obama. It was laudatory, positive, and included no slurs to his opponents. You can find it easily, "President Obama, Our Best Post WWII President."

I received about 20 replies. Here are words that were used in reply, to describe either me or Obama: stupid i***t, up chuck, asshole, f*ggot, homo, sucking, worm, black ass, puke, slime bag, vomit, freak show, piss, cretin. Words like these were included in the majority of responses.

I was accused of being gay, a female, a child and a drug addict. Not that there is anything wrong with the first three. The responses were full of r****t, sexist and h********c comments.

You people should be utterly ashamed of yourselves. This is how you deal with differences of opinion? This is your idea of Christian values? You call yourself, above all, Americans? Are you blind to how full of h**e you are, and how terrible that is?

Think about it. Long and hard. Ask yourself if your children would be proud to read your responses.
