So please tell me that the whole mask wearing thing is not political

Unlike previous v***l and bacterial p******cs with much higher mortality rates, C****-** is relatively tame.

For example, Septicemic plague is one of three bacterial plagues that k**l 100% of untreated cases - men, women and children. This is the bacteria that wiped out almost 50% of the European population in 1347. Fortunately, medical science has advanced exponentially over the past 7 centuries. Today, Septicemic plagues are nipped in the bud.

C****-** is currently fatal to around 4% of those infected, and those are people most vulnerable to respiratory infections or with health conditions that hinder oxygen assimilation. Healthy adults and especially healthy children with robust i****e s****ms and no pre-existing respiratory ailments are naturally protected from the ravages of C****-**.

Currently, C***d has infected 0.1% of the world population and has k**led 0.007%. IOW, C***d is not as deadly as we are being told. So, if, in the past 6 months, C***d has thus far k**led 500,000 people world wide (tragic, of course), who is telling us C****-** is an unprecedented health crisis and why?

The answer is obvious.

The mandates assume that everyone is susceptible and threaten everyone with penalties for non-compliance regardless of susceptibility therefore everyone must protect themselves and others by wearing a mask and maintaining an arbitrary "social distance" of 6 feet (airborne C***d can travel as far as 20 feet in a light breeze such as that from an A/C system.)

The mandates are politically motivated. Fear mongering and media hype are forcing everyone into believing they are victims - where have we heard that before - yet the mandates didn't end with just requiring masks and social distances. The damage politicization of C****-** has done to the American people extends far beyond reason and common sense and even beyond any scientific or medical solution to the problem. The economic consequences of masks, distancing, quarantines, lock downs and stay-at-home orders far exceed those of the C***d threat.

As always happens when a "crisis" like this is politicized, the door opens wide to unintended consequences.

. . . . the fashion industry has capitalised on the crisis by turning their factories into mask and PPE-making facilities. As previously seen during the bushfire crisis, designer brands are turning a profit from face-masks, with those from higher-end brands selling for just under $US200 and on ebay for upwards of $US250. These masks are manufactured under the same exploitative conditions as other products of the garment industry, with women and girls in developing societies often working under s***e-like conditions. Only a few weeks ago, workers in factories making clothes for Zara and Primark in Myanmar were fired after forming unions — the reason management gave was related C****-** austerity measures.

At the other end of the market, many small businesses and newly unemployed workers have begun to sew facial masks in an attempt to survive the economic recession, while some community organisations are making masks to give away to those on low-incomes.

Email s**mmers are bombarding low-income elderly with all kinds of "miracle" preventions and cures. For a price.

By no means is this the end of it. Face coverings afford the individual with public anonymity and criminals are capitalizing on it. Remember the Wild West bandidos? They weren't wearing masks to keep out dust or prevent v***l infections, they wore them to make identification more difficult.

C****av***s Masks a Boon for Crooks Who Hide Their Faces

"There's a troubling new reality for law enforcement in the age of the c****av***s."

These days, they can keep the masks on and blend in easily with or without being “captured” in images.

“The video is much less useful if we are unable to see a face,” said Carlos Marquez, a detective division commander in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in an email.

It's leaving law enforcement without a crucial crime-solving tool.

Wearing masks and sequestering does hold down the numbers temporarily. If the intent was to prevent overloading the hospitals, it was successful. If it was to prevent anyone from ever catching the bug, it was a waste of tempers, time and money.

Once the v***s got into the general population, it became unstoppable and that was the case before we ever heard of the v***s.

Everything going on right now is pointless. Nothing we can do, short of a v*****e, is going to prevent a single sickness or death. All it will do is d**g the problem into the fall and possibly beyond. Everything being done now is political. The Dems hope it will destroy Trump and Trump is trying to work his way back to normal without letting the country know he was duped by F***i and company.

New York crushed and controlled it by responding way earlier than hot spot states now are, the spiking states now are still doing nothing. With New York and Seattle as examples of what can be done with quick actions only the republican party could go so long failing to respond.

New York got a grip on it by seeing to it that the whole population got exposed. Why do you think that it has the highest death toll in the country. Get rid of the masks, go back to normal and the rest of the country will beat it too.

If we don't, every time we try opening, we will get another surge as people are exposed. What the morons keeping us shut down can't seem to figure out is that the v***s is out there in the general population. Each time we decide to stop hiding from it, it finds us... and it will until it has fully run its course.

Are you saying New York doesn't have the highest death toll in the country?

Maybe this is a good thing, apparently the red states want to practice survival of the fittest, I'm OK with that a good herd thinning

C****av***s: New York reaches lowest daily count of C****-** deaths, hospitalizations

The daily statewide death toll was 42 people, down from a record-high of 800 deaths in one day due to the respiratory disease just eight weeks ago.

The number of total hospitalizations on Thursday was 2,728, down from a record-high of 18,825 amid the peak of the p******c.

Florida hit with 9,989 new c****av***s cases as the death toll nears 4,000, this is really outrageous when we consider we've already learned how to keep it under control, the "practice" is a proven fact.

NY did what it does best, act fast in a NY minute, even though they had to handle this at the get from the very beginning, with little help, and with the adversity of the largest populated city, people living on top of people, they still got it under control.I say Bravo NY! Florida don't be bean brains, watch and observe.

I didn't say it was done deliberately. It was Cuomo's gross mishandling of the epidemic that let the v***s out into the general public and why New York has now leveled off. New York is the worst possible example of how to contain a disease and the very best example of why it is futile to try. If they can ever produce a v*****e, great, until then NOTHING we do will interrupt the progress of the disease. The only thing we can do is slow it down.

As F***i said, we're likely to be dealing with it and the flu this fall/winter because all this mitigation BS has slowed it down..

NY was had the sucker punch from the beginning thanks to Trump, they could have prepared. Florida has had months to prepare, Bravo Florida and their Trump attitude. This should've Never happened in Florida. The population of Jacksonville Florida, the most populated city in Florida is 9,507 it doesn't even make one million. NYC is over 8 million, and you really have the arrogance to compare the two. Like I said NY has it under control now, Florida in their arrogance has learned nothing. If I were a senior in Florida I'd be pissed with the irresponsibility of the Governor to protect them.
