They write the rules and regs that govern Wall Street. They are the very definition of insiders.

As I understand it, if you serve one term in Congress you qualify for lifetime health care and pension. So a thirty-something one term congressperson, like AOC, has no worries about her health care or pension. Nobody in any other occupation has benefits like that.

Don’t believe that’s correct. Will research. I believe their retirement is based on a number of variables.

Joe Biden doesn't do those things anymore. Do you have any idea how hard it is to remember and recite the life experiences of other people ? At this stage of his life, Biden is more likely channeling the after death dreams of others.

Trump did not pardon him, he merely commuted his sentence. State prisons and local jails have released thousands of prisoners, including those convicted of sex offences and violent crimes, because of fear of c***d outbreaks. Roger Stone still stands convicted until he wins on appeal and has the conviction overturned. This all depends on the courts and justice, not hatred for Trump and anyone associated with him.

Pardons, Clemency, executive Privileges all granted with each having its own outcome of the original sentence or charge and findings..

Barack Obama ended his presidency having granted clemency to more people convicted of federal crimes than any chief executive in 64 years. But he also received far more requests for clemency than any U.S. president on record, largely as a result of an initiative set up by his administration to shorten prison terms for nonviolent federal inmates convicted of drug crimes.

Overall, Obama granted clemency to 1,927 individuals, a figure that includes 1,715 commutations and 212 pardons. That’s the highest total for any president since Harry S. Truman, who granted clemency 2,044 times – including 1,913 pardons, 118 commutations and 13 remissions – during his nearly eight years in office, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of Department of Justice statistics.

Clemency refers to multiple forms of p**********l mercy. The two most common are commutations, which completely or partially reduce sentences for those in prison or on community supervision, and pardons, which forgive past crimes and restore civil rights. Two less-common forms are remissions, which reduce financial penalties associated with convictions, and respites, which are temporary reprieves that are usually granted to inmates for medical reasons.

DOJ’s statistics, we should note, exclude clemency granted through proclamation or executive order, such as the actions taken by Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter to forgive thousands of Vietnam-era draft dodgers.

Obama was particularly active in granting clemency later in his tenure. In the 2016 fiscal year, which ended Sept. 30, he granted clemency 589 times, including 583 commutations and six pardons. That was the most of any president in any fiscal year since 1920, when Woodrow Wilson issued 341 commutations, 198 pardons, 57 respites and 43 remissions for a total of 639 acts of clemency, according to DOJ.

Obama’s record, however, looks far less forgiving when considering the number of requests for clemency that he received. In fiscal 2016 alone, he received 12,026 such requests, by far the most in any single year on record. Over the full course of his tenure, Obama received 36,544 petitions for clemency – a figure that exceeds the total of the previous nine presidents combined....

In his record use of commutations, Obama reduced sentences for federal inmates who were convicted in all 50 states, according to our analysis. Among those who received reduced penalties were 568 individuals serving life sentences and two who had been sentenced to death.

Were they justified, we’ll never know.. Everyone has their opinion...I do question life sentences or sentenced to death however..

Trump has thus far or as of February 18, 2020, has issued 25 pardons and 10 commutations....

All made possible under The pardon powers of the President which are based on Article Two of the United States Constitution (Section 2, Clause 1), which provides: The President ... shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of impeachment.. And only applies to Federal charges..

Thanks, I knew they received better perks than most of the rest of us. Not quite as lavish as I was once (erroneously) told, but still very good.

Manning dangers were more real, then possibly contacting a v***s, and getting sick is no excuse to not fulfill at least some of his prison term, not to mention that it's only about only a 6% chance he would've. Why the heck do you support this criminal to be set free, your showing t be the hypocrite. You support the very corruption you bark about.

Are you realizing the reasoning behind it? Obama wasn't about himself, Trump is. Each one of those people did't effect the entire governing process. Many were exaggerated times, all had served time, during our recession it was just costing us money.

Except for the Republicans who are against Trump, The rest of the entire Republican party has supported the unethical, illegal, unconstitutional actions of this POS white collar criminal, to the point to want to re elect him, you guys are so lost.

{Obama received 36,544 petitions for clemency – a figure that exceeds the total of the previous nine presidents combined....}that had nothing to do with him, so why do you think that accrued?

I think it accrued because of his program launched in 2014 known as the Clemency Initiative, the Justice Department encouraged “qualified federal inmates”, as defined by DOJ criteria to apply to have their prison sentences commuted. The initiative led to a surge in requests and also helps explain why Obama’s use of clemency tilted so heavily toward sentence commutations, rather than pardons...

As for obama not being for himself, Oscar López Riverais a Puerto Rican activist and militant who was a member and suspected leader of a large militant group dev**ed to Puerto Rican independence that carried out more than 130 bomb attacks in the United States between 1974 and 1983...Rivera was tried by the United States government for s*******s conspiracy, use of force to commit robbery, interstate t***sportation of firearms, and conspiracy to t***sport explosives with intent to destroy government property.... sentenced to 55 yrs with 15 yrs added for attempting to break out of San Quintan..So yea he wasn't about Obama, he was about attacking the US..

Then there’s Manning a T*****r!! Give a damn about his g****r dysfunction, a former United States Army soldier who was convicted by court-martial in July 2013 of violations of the Espionage Act and other offenses, (cablegate) aiding and abetting etc..should be rotting in jail as far as I’m concerned..

Then there’s Obama pardon of James Cartwright, who was awaiting sentencing for giving false statements to federal investigators.. retired United States Marine Corps four-star general who last served as the eighth Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from August 31, 2007, to August 3, 2011. Why was he pardoned for Lying??Sounds like charges of Flynn and Stone doesn’t it?? October 17, 2016, he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI regarding an investigation into the source of leaked classified information; He had been scheduled to be sentenced on January 31, 2017,but was pardoned and had his security clearance restored by President Barack Obama on January 17, 2017... Boy he got off pretty good especially from a man that h**ed our military and did all he could to undermine it..

You attack our country whether it be booming it or leaking classified documents your a t*****r..

Stone, what did he do?? Got caught up in political witch hunt..An abuse of a
“40-month prison term “ for lying to lawmakers investigating Russian influence in the 2016 p**********l e******n.... Nothing like Cartwright faced, right??

So you see its all subjective and we can all throw stones from the glasshouses we live in...

I don’t care if he’s set free or not. He’s already financially ruined. My biggest problem with the conviction was it was based on a phony investigation and the investigators knew it.
