Not at all. They are already here. They shouldn't have been allowed to enter in the first place. That was the sin of their parents, not the children. We do the same thing for every legal immigrant; provide services and education. Pragmatically, it would be ridiculous to round them up and send them back to their country of birth. However, that doesn't mean we open the door and let everyone in. Any person over legal age is responsible for their own actions and if they came here illegally they should be deported. Children are not legally liable in the same way. Ultimately we need to secure our borders and revise our immigration policies before America becomes a revolving door. Those under DACA need to affirm their allegiance to the U.S. by obtaining citizenship if they want to stay here. If they are unwilling to do that then they should be considered for deportation. Congress needs to fix this but it isn't likely to be taken up anytime soon by them. The Democrats prefer to have decisive issues such as this as a wedge to bring more v**ers to their party. people need a wake-up call to the fact that the Democrats have been using immigrants only for political power for their elites. They don't really care anything about these people.

Agree 100%. If they were brought here illegally, most are grown now, time to become a United States citizen.

I think you are missing the point, Trump may very well agree with you, but you should not have people living their entire life without certainity, they must pass a law to address this situation that, we the people will accept.

So what do you propose to do about Congress’ failure to resolve this mess Tucker ?
Kick the can down the road again or another Amnesty crap ?

Are you fricken kidding me ?

You seriously think they’re going to fix this ?

wow !

Parents, and the children need to go home, and if they want to live in America, do it the legal way, our ancestors did. I lived in Texas over 30 years, until recently. Texas is overrun with i******s. Most don't even try to learn English, they think you are the problem, not them, most are rude, don't know how to drive, even worse with a grocery cart. They all get freebies, and send their paycheck back to Mexico. One worked with my husband and even had a Mexico f**g h*****g on the golf cart he used to get around the company's property. My husband told him real quick to take it off, if he loved Mexico so much to take his butt back there!

DACA was an unconstitutional executive order. It should be overturned immediately. Anyone under its protection should have 2 choices
1) do a 4 year stint in the military, if you get an honorable discharge you get citizenship.

There are good and bad people covered by DACA, but like I said it’s unconstitutional. Any of them who commit a crime should be immediately deported.

Look at it this way.. if I rob a bank, and get caught, should my children get to keep the money?

There needs to be a solution to the problem. Obama created this confusion with his illegal executive order. By the legal understanding of executive orders, is that a new President can write an executive order overturning an executive order of a predecessor. Except in this one case, where no one is allowed to change it. Trump announced that DACA was illegal and he would end it. Rather than just doing away with it and immediately deporting the DACA kids, he told Congress to fix the law and he was giving them 6 months to pass legislation. Congress chose not to do their job, which brings us to this mess. It is beyond time for Congress to take responsibility for their inaction.

I don't particularly like Obama... But good on him for this one. It's something that needs addressing...

I agree with Trump's strategy as well... He is also looking for resolution...

How is this not something easily resolved??? Pathway to citizenship based on merit... Like any other foreigner... Is being raised in the US with a US education not going to put you at the top of the list????

Obama's heart was in the right place, but he did not make a legal decision. Obama had hoped that with his DACA executive order as cover, Congress would properly fix the problem. When Trump got in, he said the DACA program was illegal and he would end it. After Congress complained, he said he would delay ending it for 6 months to give Congress time to fix it. Face it Congress is full of a bunch of lazy cowards. Neither Obama's taking the heat for the decision nor Trump's threat to end it could get Congress to do its job. It may be time to end it and let each case be decided on its merits. It might not seem the fairest way as some would have to leave and some would be allowed to stay. May be Congress would finally get its act together and solve the problem.
