Without knowing our history, how are we going to know where each of us came from. Our heritage IS part of who we are and should be taught in schools or by the parents if home schooled. Our history is more important than know how to spell or construct a sentence, because that usually comes to us by talking to other people, which very few children do any more, it's all about texting which actually is shorthand, most of the time.

Sorry, but you are consistently wrong. Being able to think critically used be part of the average education. Now being taught what to think is the point of the indoctrination. Unfortunately some people can't get enough propaganda, those on the left eat bit up like candy, which wouldn't be so bad, but they expect everyone else to fall for it too. The media has replace schooling as the major impact on what people have as the base of their mental makeup.
We have become clones from media not products of schooling.
For most of us schooling was a much bigger part of our make up than the media.
Today every one is exposed to an over load of mental stimulation.
Most of us older souls had it much easier to sort out the junk in life because there wasn't as much junk.

This is why I support the voucher system so that more people can afford to send their kids to private schools and the public schools won't have the monopoly on indoctrinating our kids.

And that is the main reason that the teachers union and the department of education are fighting so hard to keep that from happening. To them it is a war of indoctrination and to us it is war to educate our children properly. That is why they rewrote the SAT test is so that the properly educated children would not know the answers that are expected and the l*****t educated (indoctrinated) children would. To them it is a game to dumb down America while having their children educated in the most elitist private schools available. Their children will be properly indoctrinated at home don't worry.
