The SAT and Advance Placement test are being modified to include Common Core standards and narrative. A student no longer needs to know what he Constitution is or who fought in The Revolutionary War for American Independence. Advance Placement (AP) history teachers have copies of the new tests but have been prohibited from disclosing their contents to ANYone lest they credentials get voided and they lose their jobs. Smooth move Lefties. Our kids will all soon be too stupid to pour pi$$ out of a boot. Just the way you want them.

The public school teachers have already pushed their classrooms so far left that they are now teaching much more bull$hit, than facts and useful knowledge.

Most high school graduates today cannot write a business letter, or do any math without a calculator. In many cases, even college students don't know any real history, in many cases, their knowledge of even simple geography is so bad that they cannot label the Atlantic and Pacific oceans on a world map. All of that knowledge used to be learned by 8th grade.

In some cases, they can't even locate the state in which they are attending college, if the map doesn't have the state names on it. I'd bet that less than half of the US students in 12th grade today could label a blank map of the states. That used to be common knowledge for US students, along with the names of the state capitols, by eighth grade.

Many college graduates today could not even put the major US wars, Revolutionary through Korea, in the proper order, another thing every high school student could do in the 50s and 60s. What is even worse is that parents are b***hing about the high cost of college, but are too stupid to even care about the extremely poor education being dished out in K-12, or colleges.

The damned sorry teachers are too busy indoctrinating their hard left socialism into the students, to teach any traditional math, geography, language or history.

All the things you listed are probably not harmful to know and they used to be considered crucial to a good education but what value do they really lend you in present day life, or for that matter they have for the most part been of value to no one once they were out of school.
We can reminisce about the old days but these kids are not getting educated in the old days. They need to be prepared to deal with the world they live in not the one we will be leaving.

I would think that your age you would have learned that people make the same mistakes even with the benefit of prior knowledge.
With your constant railing against c*******m it is obvious you have no idea what it was even as practiced in the USSR which was never true c*******m any more than the US has ever been really practicing true capitalism.
The c*******m you you go on about has never existed anywhere except in the minds of the propaganda specialists who brain washed you and so many like you to the extent that you still after all this time are true to your redicules indoctrination.

I did the commune thing sans the fleas for a time and it really wasn't so bad but Eventually I had to come back into the rat race and go crazy with everyone else.

It was one of those lovely young women that caused me to end up living in a tree up there for a time. She was not so buxom but she had certain other attributes that made up for that.
It was fun for a while but I don't do well with the giving up all worldly possessions trip.
