Hey folks,
After reading all of your insightful (and thankfully, restrained) replies, I get it. I screwed up by creating this post. I should probably have been ripped far worse by you all for posting this yet, you have all been very civil so far. For that, I thank you. I too believe these low-life dips**ts are complete i***ts and need to be dealt with in some way. I wouldn't shed tears if a couple of 'em got shot. My initial reasoning was that Trump's comment seemed quite unp**********l (touting shooting) - that's all. I can't believe these assholes are still out there as I tap this out. Thought the arrest would make them all go home. What do they want now? Makes me realize it never was a protest at all, but simply an excuse to behave like the animals that they apparently are.

Again, I regret posting this and thank you all for not ripping me as much as you probably should have. Have a nice night everybody. I'll do better next time.

You are okay Cubby, Trump wasn't my first choice either but I felt we could not afford a Hillery Clinton presidency.
I suspect you have garnered a lot of respect of conseverarives on OPP. While you and I agree on very little, we are both good Americans and I respect your right to express your opinion.

Hello Larry Joe,
I was born in '63 and we were at peace by the time I turned 18. I registered for the draft which was just a formality. We were at peace for quite a long while after Nam, so no, I never served. Those who served before me are the reason for that and I have always been and forever will be grateful for that. Your post is a good one. You take care too.

There should be a strict penalty for this crap other than three hots, and a cot.

If you're against shooting them, then how about roping them, hog tying them, and cutting their hands off? Cauterize it with a hot iron so they don't bleed out, and send them on their way to live their lives.

Good call FD, and I'm eggin them on - if they are stupid enough to think the White House will be evacuated...then they are smart enough to get their asses shot off. If we can't muster enough ground troops (like that is a likelihood) we can bring in Appachie gun ships, or A10 Wart Hogs. Crowd control anyone? Yeah baby, in spades!
Almost forgot, Bradley Fighting Vehicles would do the job.

A10 Wart Hogs. They built that wonderful ogre around a Gatling gun. What more could a man ask for? Have you heard they fire bombed CNN headquarters in NY. This may be the reason everyone bought ARs and AKs...

Maybe we are, maybe we aren't. What matters to me is that someone can be civil and make good arguments to support their position. So yes, I suppose we are not that different. We all have our momentary lapses of reason and let our buttons get pushed by someone. We don't have to agree on things just so long as we are sincerely present good reasons for what we think. I look forward to many interesting conversations with you. So cheers right back at you.

There are many reasonable people here on OPP. As for the others, it's not hard to tell who has a chip on their shoulder and/or a bug up where the sun never shines. They represent both sides of the spectrum. Then there are some who are just so far out there that I don't bother to respond to what they post, even when they support what I say. Have a great evening and thanks for the thought-provoking pieces you post. I always like to hear both sides.
