I disagree, strongly. I studied a dozen or so of the pictures in the Ozarks and in Florida. After looking at hundreds of people I managed to identify ONE man who looked to be in his mid 50's. Every single other person in all of these pictures was WELL under the age of 40. This is exactly what very young people at almost zero risk of death from C****-** should be doing, out working, socializing, interacting and selflessly infecting each other to build herd immunity so that the safely sheltering elderly will not get infected and die when it is time to let them out again. If all young people acted like this we could defeat C****-** long before we can get a v*****e mass distributed and the next "wave" of infection will be a ripple. Unfortunately, everyone has been so terrified by the gross exaggerations of the CDC, MSM and Democrats this will probably not happen.

What, young people can't bring it home and infect their friends and family?

So far the mortality rate in the U.S. is O.3%. For ages 0-16 only 3% have even contracted the v***s that we know of. The average age of death for this v***s is 75 in the U.S.. In 1969 a flu v***s k**led 100,000 Americans when we had a population of around 207 million compared to around 330 million now. No masks, no lockdown, no panic and above all no through the roof unemployment and destroyed businesses. Do these stats mean we should not take precautions? Of course not. We know this v***s is deadly. We also know most of the billions spent should have been on testing and protecting the most vulnerable. Most of all we know the experts got a lot wrong and the young are not very susceptible to this v***s.

That big pool party shown on the news fails to mention that everyone's temperature was taken before they were admitted and plenty of hand sanitizer was available.

They are also one of the groups least at risk, though they could be carriers. I think there gathering was reckless. However; if they can help spread “herd immunity” it will help us get over the hump. Unless you are a complete moron you know about this v***s. If you’re one of the not so at risk groups remember who is at risk and use common sense.

Hello all,

Politics aside, I want to ask a favor of all of you. If what I'm asking of you is too much, by all means, please feel free to move right along.

What I want to ask of you is quite simple. I want to ask you all to do just a little bit of research on what is happening at this very moment in Brazil and also in Mexico (but definitely Brazil - save Mexico for later if you wish). I am not going to provide any links, quotes or anything of that kind as I want you to read the sites that you trust. Furthermore, I want to urge you to watch the nightly news (again, choose whichever channel you trust) tomorrow night and the day after that. Those of us who have been doing this have seen very chilling images of massively humongous mass graves filled, being filled, yet to be filled and still being dug around the clock. There is no shortage of work for backhoe operators in either country. In fact, they are having a hard time keeping up with the pace of deaths.

Why am I asking this of you? I'm asking this of you because I want my fellow Americans to continue on the decent path we've been on thus far. I am all for opening up asap. I think we all are. And I think most of us agree that it is time.

What I want to remind you of is this: we got here largely due to social distancing (I'm not going to even discuss masks anymore as it seems everyone has made up their minds on that issue one way or the other already - I'm strictly talking about distancing and not masks). Please don't underestimate how vital that was and still is. For those of you who don't believe social distancing helped us immensely, look no further than Brazil and Mexico. These two countries are lagging behind in grave digging for a few reasons but, in my opinion, the leading one is clearly lack of social distancing. It simply works. And these two countries did not implement that tool (they couldn't - we can). It's been proven to work in several countries (South Korea, China, even here in the great U.S.A, etc.). One of the precious few tools we have at our disposal to fight this crap is the ability to pay attention to what's happening in other countries - those hit before us as well as those behind us. We should take every advantage of that.

A major motivation for me to post this was the disturbing images I've seen lately on TV of places in Missouri and several other states of crowds partying literally elbow to elbow. The dumbest person on Earth should know that this is very unwise behavior at this moment in time.

In short, party on, America. Go have a ton of fun. Just please be smart going about it. As corny as it sounds and as much as some people are tired of hearing it, we really are all in this together. Indeed, the slogan "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" has never rung truer. I feel social distancing for a little while longer is a small price to pay in order to get (and keep) the economy going and to minimize CV-19 cases/deaths at the same time. Don't believe me? Just ask Brazil. Or Mexico.

I have no problem with this new "social distancing" fad. I've done it most of my life.

35% of infected are asymptomatic, including no fever. Thus, taking temps is a useless measure to prevent spread.

The mass graves were not "reported". I saw them. You will too if you watch the news. The footage of these huge makeshift graveyards are for all to see with their own eyes on a nightly basis.

Here in NYC we were a bit more civilized; for our temporary measure we put hundreds into refrigerated trailers until the grave diggers and crematoriums could catch up; a bit of a scandal when the refrigeration stopped on a couple of them. Brazil is apparently mismanaging their epidemic like we did in NY; we failed to protect those to whom this v***s is a serious threat. A rapidly increasing death count indicates a large number of elderly infirm becoming infected. 80% of those k**led by C****-** are over the age of 65 with 90% of those having serious underlying pre-existing conditions. In the US, more than half the deaths were of nursing home residents, in some states the number of nursing home deaths alone represented 75% of the total deaths. The safest most effective and most rapid way to defeat this disease is to prohibit visits to nursing homes and to quarantine the non-institutionalized elderly, not to harangue the young, to whom this disease is not a serious threat, to quarantine themselves and avoid interacting with other young people unless they socially distance and constantly wear masks, even outside in the v***s-k*****g sun. If we could motivate young people to do exactly the opposite of what you recommend this v***s could be defeated through herd immunity long, long before a v*****e is ready to be mass distributed and when the next wave appears in the fall we wouldn't even know it had arrived.

Possibly. I was just pointing out the not so obvious. Tell that to every business taking temperatures of employees and customers entering their premises. If I have to go out and be around people I'd rather be around those without a higher temperature than those with a fever. But I don't have to go out so it is a moot point for me.

No one knows if "herd immunity" is even obtainable w/ CV-19 yet. Even if it is, it will come at a tremendous cost in terms of human casualties. An effective v*****e is our best hope. Herd immunity is the absolute worst option we have. Research it. Spreading CV-19 is in no way helpful at all.

Thank you, Dr. GoCubs. Your opinion is as worthless as all the other experts from the CDC, NIH, Etc.

1.8 million of our elderly are in nursing homes, they account for 42% of the total deaths in the US. Would have been less were it not for fools like Cuomo.
