Members of Congress work fewer than half of the days in any given year, but those account for only "legislative days," defined as an official meeting of the legislative body to do the people's business. The House works about two days a week and the Senate works a little more than that, according to federal records...

You've probably heard the phrase "do-nothing Congress" at least once in your life, and it's often a jab at the inability of lawmakers to reach common ground and pass important spending bills. Sometimes it's a reference to how little Congress appears to work, especially in light of the $174,000 base salary for its members—more than three times the amount of money the median U.S. household earns!!!

Pretty piss poor given the amount of money they’re giving to include the benefits they get along with all their lobbyists and sell off of our country to the highest bidders!!

I think their salary should be reduced and then frozen and have to live off of unemployment! Great idea! Along with only being paid for the time they are actually working. With limited benefits and not lifelong anything.

You live a busy life that has built in pleasures. As described here...Very smart but I do worry of you doing too much.. You never seem to do “ for you” which I know is because your pleasures are derived from helping everyone else...❤️✨

Kathy is having difficult days right now... She hung the picture right on her wall entering her home but in her sight when sitting on the couch, in her living room..

She tells me her cancer is now in her lung and beginning to enter her stomach..inoperable with maybe up to a year??? Such a hideous disease it is!! I saw a medical company delivering oxygen to her home about a week ago now.. Like a slap of deep reality there, SW~~😢 Such a beautiful soul she has and “ accepts” her outcome saying, it is what it is and a part of the living process..

It brought yet again awareness to our need to live life to its fullest...

I am sorry to hear that she is in such pain, all we can do is pray that God will be with her and that she will be in Heaven and be free of the pain of this world. I remember when NPPs brother stayed with us at the end of his life.It was a relief for all when the struggle was over and he went to a better place. As far as me, I still have too much to do, too many birds to watch, too many friends to visit, and too many play times with the dogs, and visits with "our boys" and their families, the next life will have to be put off for later.

From long ago, I have been a fan. U have reiterated a post I submitted maybe a couple years ago. I submit some of it here and now, not to rebut your post but to support it. Congress is in session 128 days a year. But you can't find them. why? Because congress does not convene until Tuesday and closes business Thursday and they are off going home. They claim they need to be in their districts. Bull S**t!!!!! They have an fully staffed office paid for by tax payers. They are lyin. They are not communicating with the people; they are raising money for their next e******n. Congress has poopooed all over the public for decades and we let them make us smell like s**t (no matter what U call it everybody does it) $174,000 for spending a few days in Washington-----and they want more. Many congress people sleep in their offices and pocketing the per dium of several thousand dollars. Most of Congress is Democraps . N**i, PPPPPPlosi.
