In today's news, although not front page, are two interesting events. both, should generate some discussion, but I doubt they will, especially here on OPP.

The first was about two individuals who died in California back in January. Autopsy results say they died from c****-**. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/autopsies-find-first-us-c****av***s-death-occurred-in-early-february-weeks-earlier-than-previously-thought/ar-BB131mhb?ocid=spartanntp
This changes every CDC, WHO, and expert predictions and supports my earlier comments. For all that did not read my comment, I postulated that the Chinese v***s was released, not only in China but across borders much earlier...say end of Aug or Sep last year. The CDC statistics on the seasonal flu show nearly twice as many Influenza Like Illness (ILI) visits were reported during the beginning of the 2019–2020 flu season than were reported in either of the two previous years. By December 2019, there were over 80,000 US patients seeking treatment for flu-like symptoms — long before Chinese authorities reported C***D to global health organizations on 31 Dec 2019. It is highly likely, due to similarities in symptoms, that many cases were actually C****-**. This also fits with my second theory, there are actually two v***s, one more lethal than the other. One hit the West coast, (the less lethal version) around September and moved East. The second version was released in New York in February. This explains why California was "able" to contain the outbreak and why New York is struggling (padded numbers taken in consideration).

The second story that got my attention...."Chinese Agents Spread Messages That Sowed V***s Panic in U.S., Officials Say" The officials interviewed for this article work in six different agencies. They included both career civil servants and political appointees, and some have spent many years analyzing China. Their broader warnings about China’s spread of disinformation are supported by recent findings from outside bipartisan research groups, including the Alliance for Securing Democracy and the Center for a New American Security, which is expected to release a report on the topic next month. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/chinese-agents-spread-messages-that-sowed-v***s-panic-in-us-officials-say/ar-BB131WjA?ocid=spartanntp

Does this strike anyone as Déjà Vu? Russia was accused of spreading misinformation before 2016 e******n to favor Donald Trump, and he was investigated....and impeached. Is China's disinformation their best effort to k**l our economy and put their friend Biden in the White House? If Biden is elected, will his connections to China be scrutinized?

This is not proof, it is evidence. In any court of law there must be more evidence for probable cause, oh wait the supreme court has no never defined probable cause. So back to my first statement.

The real question is: how long do we have to wait for proof?

This makes sense to me... The first acknowledged cases in the US were in January... With little testing or real concern dusplayed by the authorities the v***s obviously spread.... The first fatalities would be expected to show up in late January or early February... Shows the importance of proper testing...

This should be obvious to all.... Especially with the ability to openly spread false information... Stricter guidelines on information sharing are needed...

It's one of the reasons we should all be careful where we get our information from...

I was pleased to see that the Bio weapon rumor has been dispelled... Hopefully we'll see fewer alarmist threads concerning that nonsense....

Free speech must not be in the Canadian Constitution? I believe it was a bioweapon and will continue to do so until it's proven not to be one. You sound like Twitter, Google, Facebook, our MSM, and a few of our governors. Sad.

As far as I know, there is only one individual on OPP who says he lives in China....and it is not me. Of course, because you have shown such profound intellect in all your comments on OPP, you are well suited judge my thread as disinformation.

I think she was directing it at me...

She seems to have it in her head that I'm a Chicom cyber spy who infiltrated their OPP

I'm sorry your thread didn't garner more discussion... People should be aware of the dangers presented by unmonitered internet and social media... Or at least be aware of the possibility of information being false...

Hope you're well...

You just hit the point....why do I bother to post anything that can or should be discussed? Why don't I just conform to the standards set by others....name calling, snide remarks, or cajoling platitudes? This makes me ponder why I remain on OPP, and lately I am thinking I should just quit.

Send me your link where it's been proven, please.

The line where you state the false info comment.

Maybe having to bite my lip for twenty years in the military, I really value my free speech even more now.
