Good question, and this is happening already in some cases, because some people can't pay the rent, or mortgage payments.

The tenants are out work, in some cases. This bill makes sense, and I think it is part of the second federal relief package.

The glory of the exrpression of God bless America, let see if it passes.

Because people own those rentals and still have to pay their mortgage!! If mortgage cancelled then maybe! But people then think rent free means forever and won’t tske care of ur property! But that’s just the scummy people!!

All they need to do on mortgages is a forbearance which allows you to skip two payments and have them tacked onto the mortgage loan at the end of the mortgagee’s term. The interest on the loan still has to be paid.

Rents are another story. Perhaps the renter could skip two payments and increase the payments over a period of one to two years to allow renter to recover the losses from the missed payments.

A delay or stretching out the terms of a mortgage might be considered but not a cancellation. That is why everyone is getting stimulus money to help pay bills. Plus workers on workers comp are getting extra to help pay the bills. You cancel out the need to meet obligations, you negate the need for the stimulus!

Some people will never be satisfied, you try to help them out & they just cry for more, more, more! Dem's are always happy to give away your tax money at every chance they get!

So the person who actually owns the house you rent has no income for months, or is it that the mortgage company that your loan is with is SOL no income coming in from anyone for months. How absurd can the left get?

Mortgage is owned by banks... They will have their stimulus bailouts...

Rent goes to owners.. It's a source of income... Taking it away would require more government checks to be sent...

Also, homeowners have property tax to contend with, including properties they are renting out... So allowing mortgage payments to be temporarily haunted makes sense...

Just my opinion..

.

You know that they can get extremely dangerous, and absurd. I think, that the International bankers are going to ask us to pay everything back.

There is something tricky going on with all this. The federal reserve is behind this financial windfall, so don't fall asleep.

And watch your bank account, and money, for the economic purge.. the feds is a criminal racketeering Enterprise.

There are actually a few landlords out there (mostly smaller property owners who have direct contact with their tenants) who have deferred further rent payments until their tenants are back to work. I even read about one who bought a single mother tenant groceries and sanitary supplies and left them in front of her apartment for her.

Not all American business people are the "evil, greedy, heartless capitalists" the left would like us to believe in order to pass more micromanaging laws to infringe on our liberty.

I just spent 9 days in a hospital, 5 in ICU and then went through a procedure (a stent in a heart valve), and since then nearly two weeks in a recuperative facility (the docs didn't want me to return to the boat just yet).

Feeling good, though, as well as a bit stir crazy. 😬

I have an appointment with the doc who did the procedure in a couple of days, at which time I plan to pitch my case for moving back aboard.

Shortly thereafter, I plan to make my move to Yuma, Az, and be fully retired.
