You are right, but it is more likely people are undercounted than overcounted. A C****av***s case can only be determined if the person is tested. A few of these would have caught by the testing centers but the majority would only be found when they are admitted to the hospital. If a person wasn't admitted or died at home they wouldn't be counted making more likely we have an undercount than overcount.

And a person diagnosed with C***D who was k**led in an auto accident would be diagnosed as k**led in an auto accident. You are making the assumption that a C****-** diagnosis is shared with all state and local departments. I seriously doubt that there is any database that has so many tentacles that could, in a matter of a few days, be linked to our friendly coroners.

As for stacking up numbers. We lead the world in both cases and deaths AND we aren't finished with this yet! You're calling the baseball game in the third inning. What the numbers tell us is that what we are doing is helping to stop the spread. We still don't have a v*****e yet so stopping now leaves us open for this whole thing starting again. Until there is a v*****e or enough people with immunity we are wide open for this p******c from a v***s that is one of the more contagious that we've experienced yet...

Oh, it's far more than that. Miscarriage, spontaneous a******n, is as much as one in four pregnancies. Since you believe that your god is the only one who creates life than, if he creates life there is a big chunk of it is destined to be flushed in the toilet indicating that he's not very good at quality control.

I know you people don't want to count a god induced a******n relative to one made by choice but if you are determined to count a******ns then it's only right to count them all and when we do that you god turns out to be the biggest a******nist of all time!

How are you going to enforce a zero tolerance policy? We had this before RvW and women with the means managed to get a******ns from doctors in a hospital and women without means got them in a back alley somewhere. This was the principal reason for the passage of RvW. RvW simply made sure that ALL a******ns were performed by a qualified doctor and not a hack. Unfortunately, this allowed a******ns to be counted which is the only reason people objected to the notion of a******n today. Up to RvW a******ns were kept out of sight, out of mind which allows all of us to ignore that they existed.

More than anything I see the objection to a******ns as outright hypocrisy because it's only when we can count the number that theists in this nation found their voice of objection. And as I said to Blade Runner. If you believe in god and believe that he created all life then you have to account for the 20 to 25% of pregnancies that end in a spontaneous a******n...or as I like to say, a god induced a******n. And if that's the case then GOD is the greatest a******nist of all time!

1) the majority of spontaneous a******ns happen in the first three trimesters so we don't know who would beat the odds and who wouldn't.
2) If my mother aborted me then I would have no more knowledge of it than before my conception. And yes, I am grateful for my existence but I'm not going to do handsprings because of the randomness of nature.

If you really want to talk odds, think about the millions of sperm and only one finding the mark! Life is the luck of the draw and always has been. If I don't exist then I am in the same place I was before conception and not something I won't lose sleep over...

If God is both omnipotent and omniscient then he would know everything we would do before we were even born. So if God knows our beginning and end then our life is preordained and not a matter of free-will. We may have the illusion of free-will but upon our creation, God knows all the events of our life making them in his control, not ours.

This is one of the problems when we create an all-powerful god. The only way for free-will to exist is if you have a god that knows our beginning but has no clue about our end. Then life is random/by choice and free-will can exist.
