Myself, this isn't about how I feel. Women have the right to control their own bodies. I didn't give them that right so I don't have a right to take it away from them. According to the supreme court, women give up this right by the third trimester of the pregnancy or point of viability for the fetus. Liberals can live with that definition while Conservatives can't. That's all there is to it. It's not a matter of changing our minds but that neither of us can reduce our arguments any further than they already are...

Just to be clear, that's the position you--anti-choice people take--women lose their right to control their bodies the instant they become pregnant. Myself, I have no say in this because according to our constitution the great Bawana in the sky gave us our right to control our bodies. For that reason, I have no say what women do--up to the third trimester or point of viability--with their bodies. At that point, the supreme court ruled that once viability is reached a fetus's right to life comes into existence.

I'm fine with that definition. It's you conservatives who lose control when a woman chooses to control her body differently than you think they should. I think it's a tragedy when a woman chooses to have an a******n but it's her body and her choice. I would simply encourage that all women use Plan-B first. That denies you conservatives the ability to count a******ns and without that ammunition, there is little you cons can add or subtract from the conversation.

And most of the world does follow this direction so it has nothing to do with what I think should happen. The exception to this is the Muslim world where women have few if any rights and are nothing but chattel to be dealt with at her husband's discretion. I find it very ironic that Muslims and Conservatives have the disposition of women in common--at least, when it comes to a woman's right to control her body...

For the record, I have no issue with what woman does with her body.. It's hers... I do take issues with what some women (and men) do with the bodies of their unborn children...

The person you affectionately call 'CD' resides in China, the home of forcible a******ns and other population control mechanisms.

I understand that CD exists in China at the pleasure of Beijing government and therefore has to be careful not to fall under any suspicion. Many good Canadians are in the Chinese jails having been accused of espionage, one has been condemned to death for alleged drug smuggling.

This is happening in the wake of the arrest of the Huawei CFO in Vancouver, BC. Such retaliation has caused the Sino-Canadian relations to hit rock bottom. Sooner or later we all have to choose sides, no?

If there is a Canadian version of the OPP, CD's equivocations there would not go far, but they are fine with notoriously gullible Americans, as few as they are on here.

But be that as it may, all social media is being watched by various actors, a few merely nosey and many others in a paid for service.

In closing, I enjoy being outclassed by my betters - it's a most valuable lesson in life, don't you know?
