We all know it wouldn't happen but it would, once again, show the priorities of the people who are SUPPOSED to be working for us.

Of course the DemonRats and their buddies at F**E NEWS would crucify the president and scream that he doesn't care for the little man....like THEY do. (SARCASM)

I read somewhere on opp that the name of the Kennedy center should be changed to the Trump center. Then the liberals wouldn’t give it a dime.
Whichever one of you said that is a genius.

You forgot to mention that Republicans are considering that the government should take an equity stake in exchange for grants to the airline industry (as opposed to giving them loans.)

Government ownership of the means of production is about as socialist as it gets.

Isn't that how Obama bought one of the car manufacturers during a recession

I just saw where he used his power to take their oversight away.

I thought taking an ownership stake in the airlines was part of Pelosi's stimulus plan.

I support the idea of a line item veto for the President no matter which party holds the Presidency. With a line item veto, the people know exactly what the President wants funded, so they can v**e for or against him in the next e******n. It will also help keep Congress from sneaking pork barrel spending into the budget. Maybe we can balance the budget, or at least close the deficit down a little.

We have seen over the last 3 weeks after McConnell shut down the senate and sent all senators home for a week during a national p******c and Trump invoking a national emergency so I guess McConnell had something to do so shut down the Senate

But the question is during the process of the Obama stimulus the right wing on OPP screaming like children about those GD democrats creating another socialism program and that was only $750 billion. Now we have a $2 trillion stimulus package that is geared mostly to bail out the corporate elite which two years ago received a 19% tax cut which is socialism. But what we hear now is nobody is talking about socialism because we are looking at a stimulus that is the largest bailout in history and we are taxing tax payer funds handing it to the corporate elite and that is socialism. But yet nothing from the same people who screamed socialism.

Good luck hypocrites
We have seen over the last 3 weeks after McConnell... (show quote)

How is "Tax cut" socialism?

How is maintaining America's t***sportation/supply chain socialism?

It was proposed by Steve Mnuchin, the Republican Secretary of the Treasury.
What Pelosi proposed was that the bailout include requirements to reduce the pollution the airlines pump into the air we breathe.

Technically the U.S. government did not buy any of the car manufacturers.
What it did was buy stock in some of the companies as a way to infuse cash into them so they did not fail (and cause an estimated loss of 1M jobs.) Ultimately the government sold its ownership in the manufacturers, at a los. Only the GM bailout netted a profit for the country as a whole.

I didn't really know the details until I researched. It's an interesting read.

I believe the argument is , why not a clean bill that was designed "PURELY " for emergency .
Instead Pelosi added items that "DEMAND " House and Senate debate.
But we don't have time for debate because the Bill was supposed to be partisan and clean.
This was a Pelosi (l*****t ) underhanded strategy Period.

What you are talking about is an ideal that, unfortunately, rarely (if ever) occurs in politics of any type.
Republicans are certainly not immune any more than Democrats or Independents.

The Senate bill was created in conference, with no input from Democrats at all. So why anyone is surprised at the partisan amendments and public debate is beyond me.
Not to mention the Republican bill tried to sneak in defunding Planned Parenthood completely.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too, my friend.
