Maybe it's because H1N1 k**led mostly younger folk, and Congress tends to be older?

Or perhaps it's the sheer number of hospitalizations in a short time?

Also, panic feeds on panic...

You're absolutely right they're fearing their own mortality because a lot of them are dying!

Maybe because this one spreads like wildfire!!

But, is it really spreading like wildfire? Doesn't seem like it. When we consider that we have over 325 million people in the USA, it seems a very, very small number have even been diagnosed with this v***s and an even much, much smaller number has actually died. So, where is the wildfire ?

This was done by g*******t Design to strike fear and panic in the western world when The Who Unleashed it on to W***n city play strictly did it under g*******t orders to bring down Trump and bring down the West by any means necessary! Why do you think the media and the Democrats are trying to stoke so much fear that's their only chances of winning in November! See now they want to not show the the task force briefings because 60% of the country believes in President Trump over the mainstream media! They sure as hell don't like being called frauds that they are

In the exponential growth...

Take a look at the number a week ago and the number today...

Ultimately, all these precautions will only slow the effect, not lessen it. In the end, with or without defensive measures, the same number will have gotten sick and the same number will have died. Eventually this will be just another of the bugs out there getting people sick and k*****g some. We can't and won't shut down the country or the world every singel season of this bug.

I couldn't say...

Although I read a report that this is having a positive effect on the flu as well.... Lower rates of t***smission and quicker diagnosis....

And people are really paying attention, so they're treating it before it gets bad...

But remember, we started a lot earlier... During the peak of flu season... So we've had longer to see the effect...

Shutting down school has helped a lot... And we don't have all of the old folk homes...

Oddly, a lot of the folk I know (myself included) have done well with this break from routine... We're all eating healthier (cooking at home 24/7) and most of us have lost a bit of weight... Families are reconnecting (although there has been a spike in divorces....especially among those we'd in the last 3 years....Spike in pregnancies too...Chuckle... I've avoided both...) as parents spend more time with children and husbands with wives.... Communities have come together via social networking... Books have been read, houses cleaned, little projects finished, new sk**ls learned...

I've read a few articles on domestic abuse during this time.... But it doesn't seem to have increased...

Interestingly, maybe, there was some case of Hantav***s in Yunnan a few days ago... But just the one that I heard of...

I think the price of freedom to move about is risk of disease.

I was thinking more on the international level....

Europe will need to restructure... I doubt this will bring them closer together...

And seeing as how they're having issues with no go zones and refugees in general I suspect their attitude towards that will change...

Asia will possibly become more China doninated... As will South East Asia...

The US and Canada will remain close... But I think the border situation with Mexico will finally get the attention it deserves...

Depending on how bad thing gets in Africa and South America we can expect to see changes there. .

Not sure about the ME....

Ideas?

None. I have no idea how this plays out in other regions but I'm sure you have nailed it a bit.
