I think it is called the season of Lent, not length, but that is not the point. I am a Lutheran, a Bible believing, 6 day Creation believing Christian, and I have been all my life. I don't know which Christian churches you are referring to that h**e the Catholic church. I have gone to Lutheran schools nearly my whole life, most of my playmates as a child, and many of my friends are or were Roman Catholic. I learned much from them, I learned much from my study at Dr Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, MN, where we spent an entire semester of the teachings and the history of the Roman Catholic Church and how Luther wanted to reform it, not destroy it. I spent many a quiet evening sitting at St. Paul's Church in Manitowoc, WI meditating, praying and talking to the priest there-usually around midnight or so. Roman Catholicism was very confusing to me, but I was never taught to h**e it, or to despise it, or mock it. I was taught to learn about it. I could never be a Roman Catholic, I know that, but I certainly do not h**e those who do, and do not know any Lutherans who h**e it. Mostly they ignore it, or don't know much about it. Please tell me which Christian churches you are talking about. I know of no Calvinist church, methodist, or Episcopalian, or United Church of Christ that teaches hatred of the Catholic Church. Please explain.
I think it is called the season of Lent, not lengt... (

Thank you. Of course it is Lent. I was such in a hurry about that. My mistake.
