I always thought not the pope, but the Papacy fit all the criteria in Thessalonians where Paul describes him. It could not be one individual, since he says it is already at work-back when Paul was alive, which would not be possible for one human being.

Afterschool I'd go to Jewish school yeah my folks had to pay for it. Then I'm almost 13 Bar Mitzvah coming up a fat Rabbi with a red beard. I think they paid him $300. for me to memorize what was on a record. Why did I need him? Afterwards I left the faith at least just practiced on my own.

First of all Radiance3 I have never put forth that I am a historian of any kind! I have my own life experiences along with many people that have been in my sphere over 60 plus years that completely agree with my thoughts/opinions. That is not to say that any of us are correct 100% but if you haven't paid attention over the last several years the Catholic church been going in either the wrong direction or they are unsure of where they are going. For wh**ever the churches reasoning PC Culture took over and that in itself is/was a bad idea. My intention was to never cause harm with my own opinion and life experiences. If as you have stated that someone has been harmed by my opinion then they must not have very strong convictions with their own belief. To think that every single Practicing Catholic hasn't at some point not questioned or had concerns at times would make them nothing more than Sheep. This is NOT WHAT THE LORD ENVISIONED!!!!! We are all to think for ourselves make informed decisions and then go on from there.

I converted to Catholicism 20 years ago at age 42 when I heard, for the first time in my life, a priest witness to the astounding fact on which the Catholic church is formed- that Jesus Christ is truly and substantially Present, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, in the Holy Eucharist. Upon hearing this I instantly knew in my heart that it's true, and it's changing me profoundly for the better.

So Jesus is the undisputed Leader of the Catholic Church. He is actually there in every church worldwide 24 /7, (except Good Friday / Holy Saturday), physically present in the Holy Tabernacles. Anyone can go in if the doors are unlocked and spend time both physically and spiritually with Our Lord and Our God. Talk, listen for a response, pray, laugh, cry, give thanks or vent anger. Or just be silent and know that He is God. And He loves you no matter what. The Love is tangible.

The Popes are the Vicars ( representatives) of Christ. There is very little leadership going on there. They and bishops and priests are the sinful servants, the rest of us are sinful children.

The closest thing to visible flesh and blood leadership in the Catholic church, in my humble opinion, are most parish priests and the priests and lay teachers on Catholic radio and television, for example the Relevant Radio network and EWTN. They teach, thereby indirectly leading us to Christ.

This is the Season of Length, and the Catholic Church has been consistent on the Abstinence on Fridays with some few exceptions for the sick. One of the reports stated that the Church does not practice that anymore. We just started abstinence last week. Last Friday was they 2nd week of Length. And I am in abstinence. But those people know better than myself who practice it.

Most of the people attacking the Catholic Church are L**T’S or Homosexuals. They h**e the Church so much the Church consider their practices a mortal sin.
