I used the Latin which means almost the same thing.
We used the concordat, Greek/Latin. It was in “the old days” when our texts were in Latin or Koine.

Taken as fact or not, homosexuality was well defined in the Dead Sea scrolls from WAY earlier than that. In the story of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot offered his daughters to the men of the city to spare the male strangers he had taken in. They were angels according to the story. The men of the city declined the girls, preferring the men. Homosexuality was, indeed, well defined at least a few thousand years ago and rejected as wrong by virtually all religions.
And why center on Christianity?

There are lots of people who have denounced the "gay lifestyle" and stopped behaving that way. Many have sought and gained Gods help to become opposite sex attracted, others have decided that they could not do that, so they have stopped having sex with anyone, since their attraction is against GOD's COMMANDMENTS. The kind of love God supports and celebrates with same sex people is the brotherly love which is NOT sexual attraction, but the love of friends who will sacrifice their lives for their friends.
