I have a friend that takes some comfort in the "fact" that his mother was born on the first Mother's Day: should I tell him he is wrong?

No thats not what becoming like a child means. It means children have no resources and are totally dependent. In a nutshell, it means we are to be totally dependent on Christ.

Before answering that, I have another friend that was suddenly convicted to be a Christian when his family took a break at a rest stop and he saw some mosquitoes leave the fruit they were feasting on and come to suck his blood. This was the discovery of evil in the world for him, creatures that did not need to attack humans but choose to, abandoning another source of sustenance.

That was nearly forty years ago, when he was 16. It was the solid convincing point for him that Satan ruled the world. It bolstered him through heavy trials. Do I tell him males suck on fruit and females on blood? Would you want to know the t***h at that cost of removing a "firm ground of faith"?

How much we want the t***h at any cost is being a true disciple of Christ, at least for me. If there is no Trinity and No Rapture, can we accept that graciously in the spirit of t***h? Is there any belief we should cling to so tightly that we are not willing to examine evidence to the contrary, be truly open to such a process? We never defend the faith, for there is no need: we live it or it is nothing.

I would favor telling both the t***h.
Before answering that, I have another friend that ... (show quote)

If a person is a true disciple of Christ, they have found the t***h in Him......There is no need to search any longer! Once we have accepted that t***h, accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are promised

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things , and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26

With the Holy Spirit Indwelt in us , we are able to understand 1 John 5:7....This is a description of the Trinity.

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

The word rapture and the word Trinity is not in the Bible, but the Bible clearly teaches both! 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 are verses that teach the Rapture.

We are left with a warning: “Preach the word ! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, extort with long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itchy ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the t***h,and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4: 2-4
