I have a friend that takes some comfort in the "fact" that his mother was born on the first Mother's Day: should I tell him he is wrong?

Before answering that, I have another friend that was suddenly convicted to be a Christian when his family took a break at a rest stop and he saw some mosquitoes leave the fruit they were feasting on and come to suck his blood. This was the discovery of evil in the world for him, creatures that did not need to attack humans but choose to, abandoning another source of sustenance.

That was nearly forty years ago, when he was 16. It was the solid convincing point for him that Satan ruled the world. It bolstered him through heavy trials. Do I tell him males suck on fruit and females on blood? Would you want to know the t***h at that cost of removing a "firm ground of faith"?

How much we want the t***h at any cost is being a true disciple of Christ, at least for me. If there is no Trinity and No Rapture, can we accept that graciously in the spirit of t***h? Is there any belief we should cling to so tightly that we are not willing to examine evidence to the contrary, be truly open to such a process? We never defend the faith, for there is no need: we live it or it is nothing.

I would favor telling both the t***h.

Would depend on the reason you're telling them the t***h... No?

Salvation is personal, only God knows the heart and mind of mankind. How do you know you are saved except the Spirit of God agrees with your spirit. You do not know if anyone is saved just like I don't know who is saved or not. I can only know for myself. You can only know for yourself.

Why do you constantly bring controversy toward God's Word? Where is your child-like faith which Jesus said is required??

No. T***h is t***h. It goes without reason.

T***h is t***h...

Succinctly phrased...

You're post was about knowledge, not t***h...

He brings controversy because there is a battle raging for his soul though he is not aware of it. Spiritual warfare is very real.

If you were a disciple of Christ you would not deny the gospel nor call it ‘crap’.

If you don’t know t***h then you can’t share it with them.

The t***h, for me, is reason enough. But of course there can be a hidden agenda in doing so. Also, who am I to dictate a mandate about t***h-calling? Respect for humanity and its heart's need to be free.

Child-like faith is curious and demanding: it wants the whole t***h no matter what, which requires intense and honest questioning. But that's just me.

No thats not what becoming like a child means. It means children have no resources and are totally dependent. In a nutshell, it means we are to be totally dependent on Christ.
