The system lacks flexibility. The Dems made a tactical error in trying to impeach and remove a sitting President from office which having never been done before would have ripped the country apart along its fractious fault lines. Trump is a low-life and everybody knows it including most of his followers but they like the Trump-Effect on the economy
regardless of the long term harm effects that may materialize. If the Dems had gone for impeachment and Censure only, a lot of Republican Senators could have safely v**ed their conscience knowing they were not betraying their party and maintaining a semblance of order. Who can blame them faced with such a black and white choice but in the end Romney was the conscience of the forgotten middle. Trump would have felt the sting of such chastisement in spite of the predictable bluster, the Dems would have felt they made a necessary punctuation mark but left it up to the people to remove or not to remove in November. Both sides acted like losers but in the end the country was the victim.

Name one thing Trump has done that is anti-American or that has hurt its people? We are not at war with you but you seem to be at war with us. Can't blame us for fighting back or winning.
