Depending on the department, most police in China are unarmed...

Ignorant as she may be, it's absurd to highlight one individual's actions to define or stereotype an entire segment of society. For one to do so serves well as another example of ignorance.

So when is one 'stereotyping'? If 63,000,010 are the segment, and 63 million believe a particular item and 10 do not - is that stereotyping?

I am afraid I would've to say apples and oranges to that. The PRC is a completely different culture and mindset to the US.

And strict enforcement of their gun control laws: In China, IIRC, the penalty for a gun crime is death penalty. That's also a 'cultural difference'.

Depends on the crime...

Simply possessing a gun won't result in the death penalty..

Didn't say that - pointed out that a 'gun crime' would get the death penalty.

Here, criminals using a gun are frequently not charged with the particular crime.
