It's a continuum. For example, Germans in general are a pretty conservative people, yet their social organization would be considered 'l*****t' in the US. As an American of German descent, I just don't find the German system all that strange. Their system would not work here, but when I visit I certainly don't think I've entered into a l*****t dystopian nightmare. In fact, Germans seem quite hide bound and traditionalist. More 'conservative' than me. Is there such a thing as a conservative l*****t?
So yeah, to most Americans those two would be l*****t. My challenge to them would be: let's see a plan for a first year (2022) budget. Talk is cheap....let's see how the rubber hits the road. Keep the deficits? Tax the rich, and how much? Really, free college education? Let's see some numbers....

Excellent post. Why do Germans continue to back Merkel? I’m serious, I’d really like an explanation because I simply cannot figure what she has.
