I consider the Democratic Socialism part of liberalism to the left of me.

It's a continuum. For example, Germans in general are a pretty conservative people, yet their social organization would be considered 'l*****t' in the US. As an American of German descent, I just don't find the German system all that strange. Their system would not work here, but when I visit I certainly don't think I've entered into a l*****t dystopian nightmare. In fact, Germans seem quite hide bound and traditionalist. More 'conservative' than me. Is there such a thing as a conservative l*****t?

So yeah, to most Americans those two would be l*****t. My challenge to them would be: let's see a plan for a first year (2022) budget. Talk is cheap....let's see how the rubber hits the road. Keep the deficits? Tax the rich, and how much? Really, free college education? Let's see some numbers....

Excellent post. Why do Germans continue to back Merkel? I’m serious, I’d really like an explanation because I simply cannot figure what she has.

Now you are speaking my language. Neither party budgets sensibly. Bernie just came up with a 60 trillion dollar plan. When asked how he’d pay for it, his answer; he didn’t know. I’m disappointed in both parties when it comes to deficit spending. However; much fault lies with the American people. You know; you can cut my neighbors subsidy but don’t you dare touch mine.

How about 16 years. Trump get reelected then after three years in the term resigns for health reasons Pence serves the last year and eligible to be elected twice

They are far left in American politics. Bernie was elected to the senate as a socialist. They are all pseudo liberal

And how is that description any different from 'conservative' or 'libertarian'?

Thanks for posting this, PR. I can see this being played on the big screen at all of President Trump's rallies .. you know, right there in front of 10s of thousands of red-hatted Trump supporters ... and the press section ... so CNN can see just who is the real joke ... and what a huge mistake they made by letting this air.
