Have you heard who the other 4 people were? I did see that they are now reporting 9 people. My guess is that they were other team mates and parents...more people to pray for.

We do not seem to have firm information about the others who were k**led. Some talking heads on the tube are speculating about one of the other victims, which would make this even worse. Since nobody seems to really know anything, I will leave it at that until I know.

The NBA say his 13 yr daughter was one of the people on board.. Other names not released..
May they all RIP.. A true loss ...

Yes you are right!! It was my mistake , however I still don't think it's a good time to be political!!

Was he your personal friend? If so, I am sorry for your loss...may he rest in peace and take a subordinate knee to our Father.

I am not given to trying to make a newly deceased worthy of sainthood. My comment may not have been politically correct, but it was both t***hful and genuine. I am amazed that you, who rail against Democrats being disingenuous, could chide an individual who will not elevate a sportsman, whom I have never met, as anything other than a man who disrespected our f**g and our national anthem.

So? Your family time spent in front of a television does not invalidate or alter my opinion.

He died, tragic for his family and friends. He showed disrespect for my f**g and customs. Both statements are true. Get over it! You can not guilt trip me into apologizing for being honest.

Who's guilt tripping anyone?

She apologized for her earlier remarks...

And admitted to posting the topic in the wrong section...

Get over it!

I send my prayers and thanks to the three Americans who went to Australia to help fights the fires. They died in a plane crash Thursday while helping to battle the Australian bushfires in New South Wales; Ian H. McBeth, 44, Paul C. Hudson, 42, and Rick A. DeMorgan Jr., 43. Indeed, three were military veterans.

McBeth, of Great Falls, Montana, was the captain of the downed aircraft. He was a father of three and had flown C-130 planes with Coulson for his entire career.

Hudson, of Buckeye, Arizona, was the first officer of the plane and had served in the Marine Corps for two decades. Hudson also had experience as a pilot of the C-130 aircraft. “First Officer Paul Hudson was a hero who dedicated his life to service, first as a Marine, then as a firefighter. And when help was needed to fight wildfires in Australia, he didn’t hesitate. Arizona’s prayers go out to him & his family,” Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey wrote on Twitter.

DeMorgan, of Navarre, Florida, was the aircraft’s flight engineer. He served as a flight engineer on C-130 planes in the Air Force for 18 years, according to the Times. DeMorgan was also a father of two children.

Although the basketball player, who took a knee during the National Anthem, entertained millions of people for a healthy paycheck, these men gave up the comforts of family and home to make a tangible difference. I can wager that when they heard the first note of our anthem, they stood up proudly! They will be missed! And yet no one took notice.

I also sent my prayers to those three men... Many of us on the OPP...

I believe Larisa had a thread about it... Several days ago...

And I have not sent my prayers for this basketball player... Although I wish his family love in the days ahead...
