At 2014 a******n rates, about one in four (24%) women will have an a******n by age 45.4

More than half of all U.S. a******n patients in 2014 were in their 20s: Patients aged 20–24 obtained 34% of all a******ns, and patients aged 25–29 obtained 27%.

Adolescents made up 12% of a******n patients in 2014: Those aged 18–19 accounted for 8% of all a******ns, 15–17-year-olds for 3% and those younger than 15 for 0.2%.

How are you defining a******n? At this time the term is very broad and includes cases where the child has died of natural causes in utero.
Women who have a******ns come from all over the political spectrum. Consider the women who come from very religious homes but have gotten pregnant. Rather than face the scandal their pregnancy would cause they abort so no one will find out about their sin.
It is not fair to assume that she has no morals. In most cases, she has been deceived. The lies include, but are not limited to:
-Its your body, as if nobody else’s body is involved.
-The child isn’t really a human being until a particular period of gestation. This varies.
-It’s in the best interest of the child. Generally this is used in cases where it is known there is a birth defect. Although it is sometimes used because the mother may have used drugs (some prescription drugs taken during early pregnancy have been linked to birth defects and/or child development problems). Another example could be if one of the parents is known to have a hereditary disease.
The list goes on.
A******n is not paid for by federal dollars. 17 states cover it. There are numerous organizations you can get involved with. Don’t just stand there yelling.
A******n costs are barely a blip in our national medical costs. The majority of medical dollars go to end of life care followed by costs related to chronic conditions.
Addicted to a******n? Yes some women do use it as a form of birth control. I wouldn’t call that addiction. Here’s some information that might interest you. IUDs don’t prevent fertilization, they prevent implantation, as this k**ls the child I wouldn’t distinguish it from any other kind of a******n. Although hormonal birth control (like the pill) usually prevents fertilization, it also prevents implantation when fertilization does occur.
Yes, a******n is dangerous to the woman’s health.
Stopping a******n may well increase medical costs because prenatal care is not cheap and babies need health care too.
