Sondland is a staunch republican and was a fervent Trump supporter. Yes, he knew what Trump wanted because Trump told him.
WHY do you suppose Trump made it a point of saying "....yeah, but no quid-pro-quo" - unless he knew he had already put that boat in the water?
Do you tell your family members: "don't drive down the street butt naked at 100 miles an hour snorting cocaine because its illegal?" I would hope they would already know that.
Also, having Sondland put the call recording on the secret server used solely for our covert ops was a dead give away. sad.
The only reason to mention "quid-pro-quo" was a weak attempt to create plausible deniability. But that's not working given that each day more witnesses pop up to reveal the t***h.
