The Mormons have a tough history and are known to be tough folks, so why not let the Mormons form a Mormon Battalion and go after the drug cartels to get their land and property back. The Mormons have plenty of financial resources and government could secretly supply the arms, ammo and equipment. This would not be a U.S. invasion, but a rogue m*****a. I believe the Mormons could handle the Mexican army.

The Mexicans would cut them twice wide and deep that would be the end of it and we'd have to deal with the international incident caused by the US government letting a group of thugs cross the border and take justice into their own hands
