Calm down there... There was no insult intended... Unless you have what problem with ducks?

Some of my close friends are Baptists... Decent enough folk...
Most people are...

And Rose has failed several times to clarify her beliefs when asked... Deal with it...

Finally... What makes you think this thread is in any way an example of my teaching ability? This is an open forum for discussions and exchanges... Not a classroom...

One can occasionally learn something if one pays attention...But the odds are against it...
When was the term Baptist used in a derogatory man... (show quote)

When did you use the word Baptist in a positive manner?

I don’t think you’re qualified to decide if I need calming down! This isn’t your classroom, nor am I your student! There are times that you assume others need your interjection into their conversation/debate to critique their form or their language to conform to your ‘classroom’ rules!

Most of the men and women on this forum have retired from a career, raised children and grandchildren, and have acquired a lifetime of wisdom! Don’t give up! There’s still time for you to gain some very wise and informative knowledge from them if you pay attention! 😆 LOL!

I have no problem with understanding what Rose believes or where she receives her knowledge........ the Bible! Apparently you are the one that has a problem with dealing with it! Read it and study it, then you won’t have a need to search man’s opinion on the meaning of God’s word! Just a suggestion!👍

I just recalled who you are... Apologies... It's been a while since I have seen you on the forum... And I am not great with names...

Hope that you and your husband have been well... And that you have both settled in nicely... Good to see you again

Thank you for asking! All is wonderful on the Alabama coast! We are about 5 miles from Dauphin Island in a quiet little neighborhood on the Fowl River! Retirement is wonderful!

Hey Texacan! Preach it! Glad to see you’re as feisty as ever by God’s grace.

Ever once in a while I feel the need to declare the wonderful gift that is available for any and all that Jesus has made possible by his sacrifice by just declaring our belief and repenting of our sins! It’s so simple and yet so many will be left behind because of their refusal to accept the truth of God’s word! They had rather accept man’s theology and false interpretation. The ol’ devil is mighty busy n these last days!

God’s grace is always available for all who call on Him and trust in His love and His promise! I know! I’m living proof of his grace and his answer to A specific life altering prayer!

Maranatha!

That is wonderful and so freeing, God bless. But there are no Last Days, as I see it. Revelation was more like a picket sign warning of possible outcomes. We do not lose our faith if we question or ignore Revelation. Salvation is very specific. Repentance towards God, faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are necessary to salvation. We believe that we are justified by grace, through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ; and that he that believeth hath the witness in himself. No qualifiers like holding all the stories of the Old Testament as true to be saved. Or the Baptist "Articles of Faith" or its "System of Belief." Both obscure the mandate of Christ TO BE! End belief and become as Christ! All these staunch beliefs by any Christian sect does is to cause division, suppress Christ's mandate, and dull the soul of the followers. Belief is just a stepping stone. We are all witness to the damage beliefs have caused to the Church.

Salvation is very specific! I stated the specifics straight out of the Bible! “As you see it”. Doesn’t make it the truth! You can’t change God’s words to fit “as you see it”! You stated words that I DID NOT SAY! Reread what I said and the requirements of being saved! The damage that is being done is by people such as yourself lying about what God’s word says! Rant and rave all you want, it won’t change the words of the Bible , the very words of Jesus Christ!

I didn't...I used it in a completely neutral manner...

Excuse me... You interjected into our conversation... There is no critique on your language...
My students tend to be more calm... It's true... Although a fair number of them do stress out come exam time...

One of the reasons I enjoy this forum... More intelligent and meaningful dialogue...

I love the Bible...
Glad you can understand where Rose is coming from...Her use of fallacies and incorrect terminology loses me at times...

Glad you guys are settling in... I went back and checked to be sure, but I hope your husband is doing better...

Stay strong and play hard...

God bless...

Well said.

These days too many try to put their own meaning on what the bible says and they deny simple truths though still claiming to be Christian. They love the idea of Christ yet deny him at the same time.

God’s word is perfect (Psalm 19) and there is nothing we can add to it.

Read what I said, okay. You are a political operative, honed to make Christianity our nation's religion; it is not plain and simple.

I’m a political operative?? Really? You poor soul! You can’t even have a conversation about the Bible and what it means to be saved, without interjecting politics into it! It’s only complicated because you choose it to be! God wrote the Bible so that even the uneducated and average intelligence can understand what was written. Sorry Rumi, you and others like you, don’t impress most Bible believing Christians with your special unique endless babbling of your interpretation of the very words that our Lord and Savior wrote through men that he chose to write the most cherished and important book ever written for mankind.

I’m afraid that your TDS has obsessed you!
