There is no such thing as an undocumented immigrant. An immigrant is one who has pursued a legal avenue to permanently move into a country and adhere to the laws of immigration for that country. A migrant is someone who moves around to different places within the same country. How, then, can a legal immigrant to our country be undocumented?
What you are referring to is called "i*****l a***ns" who are trespassing and in some cases squatting on our land. They have no legal right to be here, and they have broken the law by sneaking here. I feel bad for those people who want to immigrate to America the legal way, learning the language, having physical and mental exams and taking an oath to abide by our Constitution.
I'm s**k of those who want to re-name something because it suits their political agenda. They are I*****L A***NS. Period.

When I had my CPA firm, I had several clients that had high numbers of undocumented workers. They were both in highly regulated specialized construction fields. The work is very hard, labor intensive.
I asked both of them why they didn't hire legal workers. They told me, both, independently, that normal workers couldn't or wouldn't do the required work.
When they had certified payrolls, they were paying a minimum of $48 per hour, so these weren't cheap jobs. They could only get i******s to fill the jobs. They had a few legals, but not many.
I have heard that that is the same situation on many farm jobs in the midwest. There are a lot of industries, some seasonal, that are limited because they can only get i******s to do the work. When ICE makes their raids, it puts them out of business. Most of the i******s are hard workers because that don't have any other choices.
This is a more complex issue than some of you are making it out to be.
