David Pakman analyzes - - interesting (and likely calculated) how Trump equates himself with George Washington - - you know, the president who just "couldn't tell a lie" !!!

Is critical thinking not in fashion these days?

Not so much, apparently...

What's pretty clear is that trump supporters have a tendency to isolate incidents, to see them in a vacuum, so to speak, rather than recognize that there exists a compendium of egregious issues.

I would apply that to the majority of the human race throughout history...

Not excluding myself either...

You may be being overly generous to the non-thinkers by excluding yourself - - were I you, I'd only exclude myself upon reflection/awareness that I couldn't move my personal reactions out of the equation - - of course, that in itself means thinking/analysis/evaluation is required.

Seems to me every time I think myself out of the box I find myself in a bigger box... It's comfortable for a while..More leg room... But eventually I start wondering what's outside this box

Ahha, and then we finally realize that, in reality, there IS no box - - that thought is unbounded, just as the universe is - - makes it even clearer, and more painful, to recognize the narrow-minded.

By "non-thinkers" you refer to anyone who has the temerity to disagree with you?

In order for an emolument to be an emolument, the recipient must personally realize a profit from it. Black's Law Dictionary

Hey now... Slow down.... No one said anything about taking away the box... That thing is comfortable...Way comfortable... And ultimately we realize we are the box....

Unbounded thought sounds like chaos... A sociological nightmare... Flies in the face of nature and reason...

Boundaries help determine and define...

And some would classify narrow-minded as super-focused... All depends how one views it...
