Trump said the emoluments clause is 'phony.' But it's part of the US Constitution.

Trump is a Narcissist and he doesn't think rules apply to him. And since it's the Democrats who are insisting he abide by the rules his conservative base dance up and down with each rule that he ignores.
We've never had this combination before--a hyper narcissistic president and a base so consumed by hatred for their opposition that they ignore everything they once stood for.

As for the law bringing him down. That remains to be seen. I'm hopeful that there are enough republicans in the senate who have the courage to stand up for the t***h but t***h and conservatism haven't combined for decades.

Let us try some made up scenario..

A man in a mask is seen running out of an ally way, into a pizza shop across the street.

He has a life long record of theft, fraud and larceny. as well as assault.

Now in the ally is a man beat up and dazed, the mans wallet and cash is gone. he Ids the perp as wearing a mask and ran to the pizza shop.

the cops know the perp washes dishes in that shop and find him with some scratches and confusion.

He does not have the wallet and cash on him..

the cops, the victim and the coworkers all know the guy did the deed.

but without the hard evidence the guy gets to keep washing dishes.. nothing can be proved in court despite the certainty that he is the criminal who committed the crime..

The same works for the bigger crimes done by the orange person in the white house.

Trump has ignored every request from the Congress and subpoena presented him...and his staff. Neither Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, or Obama ever ignored a subpoena and answered each and every one and never did they instruct someone not to comply with a request from Congress. In fact Hillary spent 11 hours before congress with regards to B******i. Trump can't go before Congress because he can's tell the t***h thus to do so would be certain grounds for impeachment. Again, Trump is a Narcissist who thinks he's above the law. You conservatives h**e liberals so much that you don't care if Trump breaks the law...in fact, you find it quite entertaining. You might consider reading the attached article then revise and correct your comment. Nancy and her mob could subpoena God if they chose to. Just because they have the power to subpoena doesn't automatically make it lawful. Under the Conservative form of government we're still intended to be a Republic. Not so much under the Progressive model.
