WASHINGTON — The rules are clear for nearly everyone who works in the executive branch: Officials are prohibited from playing even a minor role in a decision that directly creates a financial benefit for the employee or the employee’s immediate family.

But those rules do not apply to the president and vice president, the only executive branch officials who are exempt from a criminal statute and a separate ethics regulation that govern conflicts of interest.

This could be a good thing for all of us. Trumps Doral resort has been hemorrhaging money and needs a shot in the arm. Like many of his properties it may be looking at bankruptcy, with occupancy down by over 70%. While the I***t Pumpkinfuhrer’s mouthpieces have insisted the G7 will be run at cost, this is a far better outcome for Doral than having the bedbug infested rooms sitting empty. Remember this thing is held in the summertime when south Florida is an insect plagued, scorching hot, humid hell hole, it is nearly impossible to fill rooms at that time of year. The place would be a ghost town without an event like this.

You might wonder why I would care about Trumps property making money or not, and the bottom line is I don’t, I do however care about profitability of my own property, and as American taxpayers you and I are likely soon to own a piece of Trumps boondoggle in the swamp. There is a provision in federal law called asset forfeiture where the property of people involved in racketeering and criminal conspiracy have their ill gotten property seized by law enforcement. As combover Caligula’s junta collapses around him and the forces of justice and the rule of law close in you and I are likely to own a little piece of his swamp resort and with it a portion of the proceeds from the foreign leaders and dignitaries he has lined up to fleece.

The costs of hosting G7/G8 summits are enormous, security alone adds as much a 50% of the cost.

At a cost of 60 billion Yen ($559 million in US dollars), the 2008 G8 at the Windsor Hotel Toya Resort & Spa in Tōyako, Japan was the most expensive on record. Security for that summit was $280 million.

By contrast, the 2004 G8 held at Sea Island, Georgia, United States cost $139.5 million and that included security which consisted of National Guard, Local and state police, FBI, Diplomatic security, Secret Service, National Guard, IC sources, and Combat air patrols.

In all cases, the summits were held at private resorts the owners of which made lots of money.

President Trump already said that the Florida resort would be leased at cost, no profit would be gained. Should the G7 summit be held there, it would save a lot of money.

It's a big deal to h**ers like you, but who gives a s**t where the summit is held?

It would be an impeachable offense if the White House switched its toilet paper from Charmin to Peach Luxury bath tissue.
