According to the FBI, you and your loved ones are actually more than five times as likely to
be k**led with a knife, than with a rifle, if you live in the United States.
Knives were used to k**l 1,515 people in 2018, in contrast, 297 people were k**led with rifles
The 2018 report card is overall good news; homicides in general shrunk by 1,000 cases rom 2017, falling from 15,195 to 14,123, according to the official FBI report.

As of September 24, 2019, 334 mass shootings have occurred in 2019 that fit the inclusion criteria of Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit research group that tracks shootings and their characteristics in the United States. It defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more people, excluding the perpetrators, are shot in one location at roughly the same time. In the shootings described, 377 died.
Hence Petey, knives were used to k**l over three times as many people as mass shootings.

FBI statistics do not record the weapon in most cases, but you would rather believe in stupidity.
According to data from the Gun Violence Archive , a total of 340 mass shooting incidents occurred in 2018.
In 2017, the U.S. saw a total of 346 mass shootings. That is over a thousand each year.
