It hasn't, I think it's gotten better.

Thank you very much. I have a lot to be thankful for this day and plan on contemplating how good the Lords been to me.

I'm losing money off my bonds and savings accounts.

Personally, it has gotten better for me. I just don’t understand all the chicken littles living their lives thinking Trump 24/7.

You weren’t before? Bond prices were crushed way before Trump. Savings accounts haven’t been offering anything for years. More a fault of the FED policies than any President in my opinion.
True----but isn't he trying to influence the Fed?? Interest rates were going UP before he started complaining.

How do you lose money off bonds unless you are selling them? Correct? The c**pon rate or interest is fixed. Your value has gone down for a while. I get that.

Correct----once in awhile I will sell or redeem one.

I have lived through all of these:
Republican President and Republican Congress
Democrat President and Democrat Congress
Divided Congress
Republican President and Democrat Congress
Democrat President and Republican Congress
None of it has really had a major impact on my life. Do you think it is because I do not depend on the federal government for my well being but take personal responsibility?

Better under Trump. A LOT better than under Obama.

They all try to influence the FED. The FED is Independent. I wish they’d allow interest rates to go up as the economy allows. This artificially keeping int. rates low started like crazy under Obama witth QE1 etc. it’s a long term mistake in my opinion. Presidents know Americans see the stock market. Int rates go up, stock take a hit, as they should. Bonds aren’t well known by the general public.

Same here----most people should. And part of taking personal responsibility is ensuring that you are investing in yourself through stocks, bonds, savings, and other items. Lowering the rates discourages people to save, and rather to spend and acquire even more debt they can't afford.

Taxes have gone up for our income dynamics, and my wife's healthcare has almost tripled from $350 a month to over $900. Gasoline prices are going up, when they did under Obama he told the industry notch them down or he would roll back prices to $2.25 a gallon...they lowered them.
