Invoking the name of God for your own interests.
This presumes that atheists do not do the same, ie, for their
"own interests".
Josephus, Lucian, Pliny, Tacitus, Thallus, Phlegon, Africanus and other writers around Jesus's day absolutely proves Christ existed in their day. This is a non- Biblical account, of Him being, who He said He was. Google these names and learn something unless you are to lazy and just want to say, prove to me, there is no God.

It doesn't presume that. They want their ways to be promoted by the state too and that is wrong.

That is a fallacious statement.

I'll mark you down as one on the "no" column.
Just said atheist want to push their anti-God agenda which is wrong. And you disagree? I didn't take you as the pro-atheist but, to each his own.

I apologize for misinterpreting your comment. My bad.

The only measure of adding "In God we trust" and "Under God" has brought out the Atheists in force. Adding those two phrases, in my opinion, only brought to the forefront of what we, the American People, have always believed in, and trusted. I am referring to God as the entity, not to any of the various religions per se.
...so you're saying that Atheists have always outnumbered Christians?

No, it is not what he is saying. His premise is once God was removed from most facets of government and public life, atheist publicly began the war against God and people of faith.

... where was God so publicly displayed before 1954....I think you have a fairy tale view of what America looked like, just because your little nook of the world might have public displays...it was mostly marketing.

Apparently you do not keep up court cases. The Ten Commandments being removed from public buildings, no prayer in school, no allowance for Christmas displays in front of government buildings, the cross in San Diego having to be removed (still being litigated) schools not being allowed to have Christmas Plays, Easter egg hunts becoming Spring Frolics. Shall I go on? Perhaps it is your view that is not realistic.

Not at all. They have always been in the minority, but they are now wielding more power, thanks to the current Administration, than they ever have previously.

It is such a pitiful comparison, putting "God" on our money: Isn't Money the root of all evil or did Benjamin Franklin say that?
God does not or did not promise our founders that he would build a more perfect union. You're throwing God under the bus every time you support pagan holidays that mean nothing to the great creator.

The 10 Commandments are what does, and has, held us together for the past couple of centuries as a Nation. Morals and ethics are what binds us together.

We are here with problems & we have to solve those problems our self. We may call on our God given knowledge for help in finding the answers needed. But it is we as individuals that need to solve the problems.
When dealing with so called Godless people it is useless to believe that the word of God would have any meaning to them
THAT'S THE PROBLEM, ORDER TO APPEASE THE LIBERAL "politically correct speak" afraid to stand firm on the word of God.
The liberals have removed God from almost everything, including speech. As Jesus over threw the tables of the money changers in the temple, I'll be damn if I will stop bring the rightness of God into the solutions, and will continue until the day the Lord takes me.
Remove God, is for the godless!!!! My God, Jesus is alive!!!
