Good Morning Floyd,
I would disagree with you that the word of God does not mean anything to non believers. A person "believer" only needs to mention Jesus, and the reaction begins. So many Americans have come to a point of disregard toward God that can only be blamed on the humanist that been allowed to disclose their opinion and belief without question.
Sin is alive and well and with that said, mankind will learn that God is almighty and he will be worshiped now or later. Many choose later out of disbelief or lack of knowledge, Jesus's life was well documented. His miracles performed, his sacrifice, and reserection were all recorded. It is very hard to grasp this fact in our world today. Miracles occur and we are too blind or preoccupied to see. Miracles do occur and there are more people "Muslims" converting to Christianity today in the Middle East than ever, regardless of the senseless kidnapping and murders of them. God "Jehovah", "Allah","Yeshua","Yaweah", his word is t***h and you can find what you need in the bible. The Quran/Koran today is not his word, it is Muhammeds. Someday we may see what was originally prophesied by Muhammed but not until they actually examine or release the earliest records for scrutiny.
We see the sinful nature of man, his greed, his wrath upon his own kind, His self reliance, self destruction, all by our attemp to deny our Lord God his respect.
God will never be out of it.

I don't really understand how to measure that...I can't agree or disagree because there is no way to judge someone else's walk with God. Let's examine some facts, just two for starters:

1. In God we trust was only recently added to our money (was adopted as the official motto of the United States in 1956).

2. ...and under God was only recently added to the pledge allegiance (The last change in language came on F**g Day 1954 when the words "under God" were added).

Since we added those, we have gone downhill from there and that is measurable.

The only measure of adding "In God we trust" and "Under God" has brought out the Atheists in force. Adding those two phrases, in my opinion, only brought to the forefront of what we, the American People, have always believed in, and trusted. I am referring to God as the entity, not to any of the various religions per se.
