Seems you're easy prey for a sk**led conman... the art of the deal is fiction by a failure … trumps the only one both foolish & greedy enough to loose his ass owning the house in a gambling enterprise then leveraging the crap out of the real property , not only once but several times to the point of having absolutely no credit in the entire USA... nothing like doubling down on stupid then doing it again & again … you are clueless on trumps net worth... seems only Russians know how much debt trump carries or what percent of his assets are solely owned if any … its called a LLC shell game... why would you believe a conman to begin with...

I'm retired now. I've always received what I thought at the time decent wages, both civilian and military. Back in the Sixties when I first started working for others outside of our family farm and my household chores, the pay was most time .50 cents an hour. When I got married we sometimes would have to make a major purchase, like another vehicle. I would take a second job, go back to the sawmill. We would set that money aside to make the purchase. What I'm trying to say is that people take second jobs for different reasons. If a person has a goal and having a second job will help them reach that goal, I will shake their hand. You can not just lump all this into one basket.

Sorry, but anyone who follows the left along the trail to ending the America envisioned by our founders is not leading.

I can't control your perceptions, I can only wonder how anyone can look at 2 1/2 years of the Trump presidency versus 8 whole years of the Obama Fiasco© and not acknowledge the vast gulf between the negatives of the latter and the positives of the former.

Minimum wage is $15 per hour. That's $31,000+ per year for a 40 hour week job! Most jobs don't start at minimum wage, but higher...and if both husband and wife work at minimum wage, that's $60,000+ per year in that household.

One would just have to follow the graphs over time to see trump is all about short term market gains & not a real economy... trump gave away the farm with little to show compared to his debt, we would be better off with a real business man not prone to failure to run things...

Exactly, Silent Hammer. fictionnotfact is just another knee jerk loonie lib here on OPP. When I read the heading on this thread, I knew it had to be posted by one of the the reliable lefties here: Kevyn, kemmer, Lonesome, etc who daily show their TDS by attacking any and all things Trump. Those guys are so predictable, even though their arguments always have holes big enough to drive a semi truck through, as other responders here have already proven.

What’s predictable is you right wing r****t protecting a pathological liar that is totally unhinged. The man is sick

We need a third party before it gets like Europe here in the USA

They get 10 to 12.50 an hour here for slinging burgers.

It seems that Gen Xers and the Woke have no patience. Gotta have it NOW. Life is not measured by how much stuff you get in what period of time. We "remember" only a tiny few as heroes or "successes". Life is ORDINARY, and then one dies. The value of your life is in what good you have done for others. God's Second Great Commandment tells us that. So, keep on truckin' Sarge. I love life!

Your assertions are unfounded. Would you preach that all snakes are to be k**led because a guy in Florida was bitten on the mouth by a Cottonmouth when, drunk, he wanted his girlfriend to watch his macho snake kiss? WHAT is to prevent these double-jobbers from saying, "To HECK with this! I've got some good abilities and available low-cost training or education. I want to be a WELDER for $45/hr, or a kindergarten teacher for $50K/yr. I'm DOING IT"!? And you are TOTALLY correct -- they were never meant to support a family. Do you realize how many restaurants in San Francisco or Portland have closed because of the $15 minimum wage law? Or how many workers have been laid off because the employer couldn't maintain the new payroll? Check it out and get back to me.

In just the last three months of last year, 4,000 workers lost jobs at full-service restaurants, Bureau of Labor Statistics data show.
A New York City Hospitality Alliance survey found that 47% of full-service restaurants expect to cut jobs this year to cope with the latest wage hike. Last year, 36% said they'd eliminated jobs. The picture is worse at limited-service restaurants. The survey found half reported cutting jobs last year. And 53% say they'll do so this year.

Corporate tax cuts, for the zillionth time, are not "tax cuts for the rich." The "rich" involved in those corporations still pay their own taxes.

Where was any comment made about Corporate tax cuts?

Seattle has gone to a $15.00 wage and it hasn't hurt employment for restaurant workers at all--there is still a shortage. What isn't being discussed is that businesses want to stay in business and they can only lay off workers to the extent that it doesn't hurt business. For example, if you layoff servers and that causes an increased wait in the time to be served then you customers will go elsewhere where there the wait time is less even if the price for the meal is higher.
